Unpopulat cleveland opinion: trade mitchell

I think its a pride and small market inferiority complex at play here.
Garland - mobley - allen
Its reminiscent of the raptors pre kawhi — everything an elite closer could want.
Unfortunately, mitchell is an undersized scoring guard and doesnt mesh well with garlund.
My idea:
Trade mitchell for ingram and magically sign kcp
Kcp garland ingram mobley allen
Thats at worst a top 3 - 5 team in the entire league.
Find me a path where cleveland can do better than that with mitchell in lieu of darius.
Just throwing it out there. Like, if one wanted to max out on ingram; a 3&d sg + their big 3 is literally more perfect than i could imagine!

I don't think we have to unpopulate Cleveland. That feels extreme.
Also, if Mitchell will extend in Cleveland, the Cavs aren't trading him.
Also, the Cavs won't pull the trigger on an Ingram for Garland OR an Ingram for Allen and LeVert trade due to Ingram wanting a max, why would they make that trade for Mitchell?

Garland for Ingram seems better and doable. I'd be asking for a lot more than just Ingram in a Mitchell swap.
I don't think the team you presented has a legit #1 offensive option.

I've been one of the more vocal Cleveland fans on the subject of moving DM over the other 3. But No way in HELL do you do Mitchell for Ingram in a straight trade! NO would owe substantially in that swap, probably 2 of their young prospects. I also like KCP, but with the ammount it would take to pry him away, it probably becomes problematic...

Forget KCP. You get Ingram/Herb/Hawkins.
I'm not suggesting NOP or Cleveland would like it, just that it's a lot closer than Mitchell for Ingram straight up.

In the future please post your ideas without needlessly inflammatory commentary you can't possibly justify. Mitchell is their best player. It doesn't get any more complicated than that why they'd prefer to keep him.

Especially as Clevleand wouldn't be able to magically sign KCP anyway. Getting an extra wing from NO in a Mitchell/Ingram swap is more plausible.

Hmmm
You have given me pause….
Perhaps trading garland for a couple 3 and d starting role player wings is just as viable and the better option….

Ya i dont have deep knowledge of either teams cap situation, hence “magically”
Herb and ingram there you go, magic!
Herb mitch ingram mobley allen
That looks very similar to chauncey’s pistons.
Im guessing theyd have that core all locked in for their prime years.
I mean theyd basically have all 5 of these guys signed through their age 25 to 30 seasons.

I didn't read that as needlessly inflammatory.

Of course it is. What's the *good* way to read that?

Thanks for your feedback. Others did so I addressed it. Do you have any other backseat moderating you'd like to contribute while I'm here?

If Mitchell is open to an extension you extend him. It adds at least a 1st round pick, if not multiple, to the value of his contract to have his services for multiple years instead of as an expiring contract.

Mitchell for Franz Wagner
Mobley for Jalen Williams
LeVert for Bowen

Amen. Kawhi was top-5 when healthy, while Ingram hasn't sniffed 3rd team all-NBA
And Cleveland 2024 isn't (pre-Kawhi) Toronto 2018 either, averaging 55+ wins over 3 seasons and with the deepest bench in the league
