Charlotte thinking playoffs with the Nets

Charlotte trades: Bertans/Mann/#6 pick/Dallas future 1st/Miami future 1st
Brooklyn trades: Mikal Bridges
Charlotte gets a elite 3&D wing to pair with Miller on the wings. This deal gives Charlotte a core 3 of Melo/Miller/Bridges. That seems like a trio that could make the playoffs if they stay healthy.
Brooklyn goes for the rebuild by getting 3 1st round picks including Charlotte #6 pick in this years draft. Mann is also a nice young prospect. Bertans a throw in for salary purposes.
Who says no?

Well if 2 lottery picks and unprotected 1st rd doesn't move the needle for Brooklyn then good luck to you. I personally think the Indy offer was a massive overpay.

The Nets are completely delusional when it comes to Bridges. But I can't blame them considering what they lost in the Harden trade and what little they gained in the Durant trade. Bridges is the only player really worthwhile from either deal so they have to pretend he's untouchable to save face.

there's no possible way Mikal can extend this summer right? like if we have cap space, can we re-negotiate the future years? Or are situations like that only reserved for players in their final years (like Turner a couple years ago and Sabonis last year)
If we can do that, to save money, we should trade Martin and Richards instead of guaranteeing Bertans and needlessly wasting money on him. If those guys are the salary fodder, and we're also sending away pick #6, we would be at around $112M guaranteed money including Miles Bridges' cap hold, we can give some of that to Mikal in a renegotiation, and then go shopping for depth with the rest.
Spitballing here on being able to give Mikal a ~$10M raise and then splitting the remaining $23M or so in cap on JV and someone like Gary Harris... Ball/Miller/Bridges/Bridges/Mark + Micic/GHarris/GWill/Valanciunas?
I'd have a very hard time not being excited for that unit. I'm hesitant to part with that Miami pick, but I think for someone as good a player (and fit) as Mikal Bridges we kinda have to.
Brooklyn would have to love someone at #6 for them to do this though, given all the offers they've turned down.

...and 12 months later they're dealing him as a rental...

What little they gained in the Durant trade?
They got Bridges, Cam Johnson, 4 1sts and a swap?
