Nope. Durant doesn't have this type of trade value anymore and the Suns can't aggregate salaries. I'd add Wade to Garland and if that's not enough, so be it.

No chance the Cavs trade Mobley. I’d Give Garland and Lavert for Booker or Durant.

This is not particularly close from Cavs end. IF i was going to trade for Durant, it would be Garland and fillers to try the "tri-towers" experiment again which i was enjoying personally. But i'm still more interested in seeing what offers we might get for DM. And I'm not sure current KD is the winning bid/best value move to make in that case anyway.

CLE gives: Garland and Allen for Durant and something from third team

Phoenix gives: Durant and Nurkic (and draft assets) for Garland and Allen

3rd team gets assets and takes on Nurkic for the player they give CLE

Framework of a deal I could see being interesting.

I mean, I’m one of the biggest proponents of Garland on the board and that’s just terrible value for Durant much less Booker.

I mean that’s fair as it’s you opinion but you know that’s just bad value for Durant. And I’m a huge Garland fan.

Ishbia and Gilbert are never making a trade. At least not one of this magnitude or anything close to it.

Durant was all NBA second team last year, whereas Garland is probably a negative contract and Phoenix would be cluttered at the guard position.

Evan Mobley hasn't developed as much as you'd since entering the league. The Suns would probably have to pay a lot of money to retain him in the hope that he lives up to his promise on a new team.

Trade help balance the Cavs roster, but doesn't help the Suns at all unless they can flip Beal and Nurkic in seperate deals.

Neither team is going to do this deal, but the idea that Garland is viewed as a negative contract is belied by a lot of national reporting, and if the Cavs would make Mobley available (they won't), teams would line up to pay him.

Um what is PHX going to do with Garland/Beal/Booker?

That's arguably a worst fit than their current roster.

I like Garland a lot. Mobley isn’t some burgeoning star but he is good. The two of them together is a totally compelling offer if the Suns were looking to change things up. But the suns aren’t and one or the other of Garland/Mobley dont have the value to give up Durant right now.

Would've like to play that last Celtics series with a healthy Allen and Mitchell. As it was, we were as competitive as ony of their opponents without them.

Garland absolutely is not a negative contract. Nope.

Sure, this would “clutter” the guard spots for Phoenix. And with their likely inability to move Beal, this would be a problem. That’s absolutely fair to say.

Wow. Wildly disagree. Mobley has been an absolute defensive presence in his time in the league. And with Garland and Mitchell, he’s never even gotten 21% usage. There’s absolute potential on offense for him, and signs he could continue to add a long range shot to his game. He’s insanely valuable on the open market. Maybe more so than Durant, at this time?

I think if Phoenix could add Evan Mobley to pair long term with Booker, they absolutely would and wouldn’t worry about Beal’s or Nurkic’s. And to get Garland, too? That’s amazing value, and a pretty solid overpay for Durant, at this time.
