PHX sends Little and 22
PHX gets Mitchell and 45
Why for the Kings: take a swing a a late round wing in Furphy. Smith, Chomche or Dadiet. Opens up more minutes for Monk and Jones
Why for Pheonix: gives them a starting point guard who can stay in front of the many quick guards in the west.

Mitchell isn't starting in front of any of Booker, Beal, Allen. I think Phoenix would prefer to get a pending RFA player with more size if they go this route.

None of Booker, Beal or Allen can guard the Fox’s and Morant’s of this league. They are all too quick for those guys. Part of Phoenix’s problem is they play 3 2 guards.
Pheonix is in the second apron aren’t they? Not sure how they sign any free agent with more size. Btw this trade does save them 1M.

I would much rather try and trade 22 for 29/31 or 25/38

Eubanks opted out. They need someone who can offer some rim protection and makes less than Little.

Not seeing mitchell with this kind of value. Maybe if we also include Portland 2nd.

Size and athleticism are what they should be after, especially with #22. I like Mitchell and would be all about picking him up if the Suns were in a different situation. Another guy I would like for the Mavs. lol.

I think you use #22 and some salary to get size. One way or another.

How?
You really want a 6’8” 6’9” guy and those guys are pretty hard to find. You are in the 2nd Apron so you can’t use an exception and you can’t aggregate guys.
You going to trade Durant, Beal or Booker? The Beal deal was a killer.

Of course they would prefer it but their options are severely limited. I would personally keep Mitchell on a very team friendly deal for Sacramento

I mean there will be guys that size available at 22 and later. Nurkic, Allen, Little are all tradeable salary with varying value. They have multiple firsts they can trade. I’m well aware of the 2nd apron restrictions but the Suns still have a lot of options.

If Davion Mitchell were better I would think the Suns make it work, regardless of fit. The Suns will have better options than this even if they are limited.

Maybe.
I mean SI has you drafting a point guard and for a team that needs to win now Mitchell is clearly the better player. He can stay in front of quick guards like Fox and stay attached to Steph,
Unlikely anyone you draft at 22 is not contributing this year. Most are a year or 2 away and you don’t have a year or two.

I mean SI can mock all they want. This draft is flat and incredibly unpredictable. I expect the Suns move the pick, get a more win now role player or two and get some second rounders. How exactly that plays out idk.

Tons of older players rookies that look ready to contribute this year - TSJ, Kolek, Holmes, Mccular, Shead, Bona, Nunez, Scheirmen, Dunn

So I will play along. Let’s say you want Brook Lopez.
You can’t aggregate salaries. Your options to trade are
Nurkic at 18M , 19M
Allen at 15M, 16M, 18M
Little at 6M, 7M, 8M
Nurkic is negative value, Little is not bringing a bigger contributor who is paid at 6M
You trading Allen and 22?? If you are good trading Allen I could see it.
For that you get Demi Advija or Grant Williams.
If you aren’t trading Allen for the value of Littles contract the Kings can trade you Sasha??

That’s not what he’s saying.. let’s say someone like Eddy is there at 22. Suns could possibly move that 1st in a deal like 22 + future 2nd + Little for Kessler + 31 or 22 for 24 + 25.. then trade 24 or 25 for a high 2nd + role player..

Kessler who? You can’t take $1 over whom you send out and you can’t aggregate players.
