Fultz as a Free Agent
Surprisingly I"ve seen nothing about Fultz as a potential free agent for any team. It's like he doesn't exist. Eligible for straight free agent or sign and trade.
Does anyone see him as an option for their team???

Re: Fultz as a Free Agent
I mean he's like a TMLE level guy at best, right? And that feels generous. So those guys generally aren't going to be high on the rumor sheet or plan A for any team except one that feels like they have everything but a 4th or 5th guard.
PG's that are that bad offensively rarely get paid and are not in high demand. Don't think there is any value in a S&T at all.

Sadly his shot is broken from deep and never coming back.

He is slightly above a minimum guy. Not sure what you're expecting to hear.

Re: Fultz as a Free Agent
The way he played last season he'd be lucky to get a vet minimum contract, tbh. His midrange shot was MIA most of the year and he regressed defensively quite a bit.

Re: Fultz as a Free Agent
Someday I hope Danny Ainge tells the story of what happened on Fultz's visit to Boston that led him to decide he'd be better off trading that pick and taking someone at #3

Re: Fultz as a Free Agent
unfortunately he keeps struggling with injuries. This season his TOS came back and FTs looked like crap again, midrange was gone. He had zero confidence taking jump shots. Offensively he was bad, defensively he was very disappointing. I'm not sure he gets much more than the vet min. Might be a good gamble for the Suns.

Re: Fultz as a Free Agent
He literally has no offensive game outside of layups at the rim and is always hurt and isn't a great defender. He's either getting a vet minimum contract from someone that thinks he still has something or he'll be playing in China next year.

Re: Fultz as a Free Agent
I'd say that teams in need of a PG will inquire, but at MLE or less level I don't expect many to put him high on the list.
However, think about what Reggie Jackson got in DEN [5M], a ring hopeful team might put Fultz in that same role for the RS, and spot duty in playoffs.

I think he'd be a good fit in San Antonio or Minnesota.

Re: Fultz as a Free Agent
He has played 33 games per year over his 7 year career. He is a 27% 3pt shooter with a true shooting percentge that is well below average. He averages 4.6 assists and 1.9 turnovers in 25 min per game for his career.
He is about to be out the league. I don't even know if he is good enough to play in china.

I think the Wolves need shooting from that spot, so Fultz isn't really an option.

Re: Fultz as a Free Agent
His market is limited to teams that don't need their point guard to shoot (if you find one, let me know) or are actively trying to tank. I will be absolutely floored if his contract approaches the MLE.
investigate Adam Silver

The Sun's keep crossing my mind, but I'm sure it would have to be on a minimum deal.

Just play him when Gobert is off the court. I think he'd be perfect for that on the minimum.

Re: Fultz as a Free Agent
Vet min deal to PHX…they have 3 elite shooters. Fultz is big, physical, really good with the ball, protects it in traffic, change of pace w/ strong burst, strong to the rim, good passer, strong defender, sometimes his mid-range was excellent…but ZERO longer range attempts, let alone makes. So much going for him, but being ignored on the perimeter is fatal in todays NBA. PHX would be worth a shot on a min, make-good deal. Maybe they draft a PG like Kolek and Fultz holds it down for the time being…I can’t think of another team with so much perimeter star power, but lacking a solid game mgr. And defender…could work

I wouldn’t mind bringing him to Golden State on a vet min depending on how the offseason plays out

Just play him when Gobert is off the court. I think he'd be perfect for that on the minimum.
It just makes a ton more sense to fill the role with a guy who can spread the floor. Last year showed that having more spacing is fairly important for both Ant and KAT even when Rudy is off the court. I think the most likely answer at backup PG is re-signing Monte Morris.
