Chicago finally picks a lane

The Josh Giddey trade was a great move to try and find a young cornerstone piece for a guy in Caruso who is purely a win now guy. Now its time to double down

To Orlando
Zach Lavine

Orlando Out
#18
Jett Howard

To Memphis
Nikola Vucevic
#18

Memphis OUT
Luke Kennard
John Konchar
#9

Chicago out
Zach Lavine
Nik Vucevic

Chicago in:

#9
jett Howard
Luke Kennard
John Konchar

The Bulls go nuclear and try to get another swing in the draft. they can probably select
#9 Ron Holland

#11 Tijuane Saluun

\

DeRozan walks and signs with Philly . Resign Andre Drummond and Patrick Williams

Giddey/White/Holland/Williams/Drummond

Ayo/Terry/Saluun

its a massive tank job that could land them a big time player in 2025

swap #9 and #18 imo

The Bulls would be lucky to get neutral value out of a LaVine+Vucevic combo, so they should almost definitely jump on #18. Memphis shouldn't have to move down to eat Vucevic. I think Chicago easily accepts #18 and Howard, and expirings/massive cap savings

This is overvaluing the players on Chicago.

Hard pass from Orlando, lavine is a negative asset, and the bulls are going to have to pay to get him off the books. You aren't getting a prospect and a first for him. I don't even want lavine on the team as a magic fan but the offer would be something around Cole Anthony for lavine plus the bulls need to add more picks or another asset.

Don't think Vucevic is considered worth a move from 18 to 9 either. Maybe a 2nd and eating his contract. It's always possible though; just takes one team that values him more.

Neither Lavine of Vuc have much/any positive value. Chicago should absolutely hit reset, but they aren't coming out of this with lottery picks and prospects.

I could see Orlando being a great landing spot for LaVine, but that looks more like Cole for LaVine straight up IMO.

I think Lavine is starting to get a little underrated, honestly. He's a good scorer and he's putting up 20/5/4 on decent efficiency in a sub-optimal environment. I don't think Chicago has to pay to get off him; I don't think they get a great return, but "they have to pay" seems wild to me.

I actually like it.

I don’t think the Bulls players are that negative, and no one is giving up a star here.

How about Chi gets #18, and sends the Port pick to Orl?

IDK, the reports have been Chicago shopping him hard (15 separate offers out) and the only reports from other teams' end is we don't want him or best case is the Kings will take him with incentive.

I agree that most of the time talent wins out over contract. But I think Chicago has made it so obvious they see moving him as addition by subtraction I don't see much if any value. Certainly nothing close to the OP.

Orlando is a great choice for him though. I think the trade isn't terrible. Maybe switch that 1st with a cpl SRPs and call it a day.

Lavine can score from the perimeter and handle. His defense can be covered up by Suggs.

Why on earth would MEM do that?

It's good for the Bulls, I think MEM would be satisfied with Vucevic so that they have a center, ORL doesn't give much up to get a genuine scorer in Lavine.

Once the Bulls allow DeRozan to walk they go find a starting PF, you really lose all your gains thinking that a raw rookie like Holland walks in and starts

Giddey Ayo Konchar
White Kennard Carter Howard
Drummond
Williams somebody Holland
a new guy Phillips Saluun

We would consider it, Memphis needs a center so naturally we will play whatever the cost for another teams bad center is a narrative I guess.

What did MEM ever do to him?

nope. Orlando front office actually have been pretty smart with contracts and they arent taking on that horrible deal, especially as that will cause issues with re-signing Suggs and Franz and adding to bench.

Orlando has their SG in 3&D Suggs, they need a PG upgrade.

Yeah I mean I have toyed with the idea of trading for LaVine if Klay's contract demands are outrageous, but I think my offer would be something like CP3, Wiggins, and a 2nd. Certainly don't see him returning cap space and a 1st.

Put lavine there
