Tucker/30 swap rights(top 2 protected)

for

Nance
25 MIN 2nd
26 MEM 2nd(top 42 protected)

Clippers pick up a playable big man for a guy they won't play. Also get a couple bad 2nd rounders to use as currency or to take fliers on guys.

Hawks go for the future upside play of the swap.

Without looking at the money situation, sure I guess. Clippers pick in 2030 is probably going to be quite valuable.

That said - do teams ever actually trade with a *target* return 6 years out? That's like 2 front office lifespans for most GMs

Unfortunately, they do. They'll even go seven years out of they're sufficiently entrenched enough.

If the Hawks can stay out of the tax then this is a homerun for them. LAC...just don't know if an 5p/5r injury prone big is worth that swap. But he is a good low usage do a little bit of everything guy that could fit in good there. So I would be ok with it if that is the best use of that swap and Tucker money slot.

Money is equal $11 mil per, both expiring.
Hawks can use that pick in trade...example: LAL, SAC 2025 1st, LAC 2030 to start as a baseline package for Lauri.
