Nothing that has happened has really changed my stance here..
For KAT..
Capela dumped on a third team and Bogdan and Nance with 3 firsts to Minnesota? But most likely Atlanta needs to find an impact young forward to end up in Minnesota, right? No idea who to look at, but you want a strong defensive forward that can rebound I’d guess? Meh.
But for Rudy? I think it’s cleaner.
Capela dumped on a third team, Atlanta pays the seconds or whatever it costs. Bogdan and OO with 2 firsts? Or is it only the LAL first? To Minnesota?
Minnesota gets the tax relief that ownership is maybe more willing to keep Anderson, the young defensive pairing with KAT locked up cheap enough to keep Naz in 12 months and a really good bench shooter?
Atlanta gets to make the playoffs off of Rudy/Trae. But have Daniels/Zach/Jalen developing playing big minutes in between them. Slide right under the tax signing a vet min guard. And hope Kobe is ready for a much bigger role. Or pay some tax to use most of the MLE on a third guard. I don’t know.
Or does Atlanta just want to coast for a year and see how the kids look?
Or does Minnesota not consider breaking up their stars after such a great season?
I’m still in in a Minnesota center to Atlanta?

With Dillingham I’m not sure there’s much of a role for Bogdan (Dillingham/NAW likely eat a lot of the 1-3 minutes off the bench). I think Minnesota would want helpful and competitive pieces in place of Rudy/KAT and at a bare minimum any conversation starts with Jalen Johnson+.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

It's not the direction the wolves would go at all. They just dealt picks 6 and 7 yrs out to fix a short and long term roster problem knowing it would increase their tax bill. Can't imagine they suddenly turn around and deal a stater to save tax dollars.
And then value wise, I don't think the FO would view either of those returns as adequate. First they'd likely be way more interested in actual players and not picks as they still want to win now. But even if they'd accept picks, we just saw Bridges get moved for 5 1sts, Murray get moved for 2 and Daniels. I get age and money are higher for both MN bigs affecting value, but on court impact also matters.

It's clear the current governor is willing to spend on a WCF team. I think the real question is what are the money poor guys going to do if and when they take over. I know some Wolves fans get mad if this even gets mentioned and they label a weird obsession instead of a really big factor in the near future of the franchise.
I can't know, but my (pure) speculation is if Lore/Arod ever get control that we still see some major belt tightening and ruling out moving one of the two high dollar centers doesn't feel like something I'd be 100% confident in doing personally.
But for now, they are likely going to run it back minus SloMo and hope the rookie is ready to give them something meaningful.

I am starting to wonder if Taylor is telling Connelly “you’re free to spend whatever you want, lock it in longterm” to try to make ARod and Lore less willing to fight him? I know Michael Bloomberg is in on their group, but we don’t have any idea what capacity. Woj leaked that ARod and Lore presented their plan to all the other owners and their capital lender to slash payroll not just to get under the second apron, but to be under the lux threshold. Both ownership groups have said they are willing to go well into the lux to keep the team together, but ARod and Lore’s actions so far in this deal and wealth estimation from national sources make me wonder if this is just more talk. Maybe Bloomberg will loan them whatever money they want (who knows the terms?), but it could be that Taylor is using his wealth to poison pill the team.
