LAL-POR-SAS Trade

Post#1 » by rambo_ortega » Sat Jun 29, 2024 8:35 pm

Lakers Get:
Jerami Grant

They get a player that they've been eyeing for years

AD/Rui/Grant/James/Reaves

Blazers Get:
Keldon Johnson
Gabe Vincent

They get a young SF and a veteran PG

Clingan/Ayton/Keldon/Ant/Scoot

Spurs Get:
DAngelo Russell

He's one of those players that I see fitting with Wemby that would be good for his development

Wemby/Sochan/Vasell/DLo/Jones

I don't see any motivation for Portland to do this.
Neither Johnson nor Vincent help with the direction Portland is heading in

DOA. Blazers have their young SF now in Deni. Blazers can fill in with vets as needed and can get at least get SOME value for Grant.

The Spurs aren't trading Keldon to play Russell and Jones as their starting back court.

Russell would have opted out if the Spurs wanted to pay him. Grapevine is real. Portland holds out for filler/1st over just filler.

Spurs could have signed Russel if they wanted him.

Hard pass for POR.

Don’t want either incoming guy, no incentive to downgrade from Grant.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.
