My Lakers Offseason

Post#1 » by MadNESS » Sat Jun 29, 2024 9:44 pm

1.) LeBron signs for less, enough for MLE use.
2.) LeBron/AD convince Harden to come to LAL for MLE.
3.) Trade Rui, Vincent, JHS, 29 1st, 2nd for Jeremi Grant.
4.) CP3 gets traded and then bought out. CP3 signs for minimum.
5.) Let Prince go.
6.) Trade Lewis for future 2nd.

PG: Harden / (D’Lo) / CP3
SG: Reaves / D’Lo / (Christie) / Bronny
SF: LeBron / Knecht / Cam
PF: Grant / Vandy / (AD)
Cc: AD / Hayes / Wood

Unrealistic, BUT not really.
JJ gets plenty of shooting.
D’Lo goes for 6MOTY.
Harden/CP3 chase rings with Bron/AD.

As much fun as it would be to see Ballmer cry losing both Harden AND PG13 in the same offseason, Harden isn't taking a MLE offer.

Probably right, but why not? He’s been chasing rings for years. Stays in LA. Plays with Bron finally, who is also actually serious about taking less money…

Klay is probably more reasonable. But I think Orlando and Philadelphia need to exhaust their cap space first. I'd still put it at very unlikely thought. Apparently, the holdup was the 3rd year or lack thereof in their offer and I can't imagine he'd leave Golden State to go to the Lakers on a 2 (or 1 year) deal and does he want a 3+ year deal where LeBron only (likely) plays in one of them?

Definitely dont see LA signing Harden, Klay or Derozen for the MLE. Maybe Luke Kennard?

I really think Lebron will use his new contract to pressure the team to make the moves he wants.
