Julius for Draymond with BRK

Post#1 » by Syko_boB » Sun Jun 30, 2024 4:22 am

NYK
OUT Julius Randle + Miles McBride + Jericho Sims
IN Draymond Green + Dorian Finney-Smith

Probably not the move New Yorkers wanna make, but the move they need
If they believe Ju isn't the right fit, Dray can slide in and be super effective in a low usage role and his energy will be well received in NYC
Splitting the salary in 2 allows them more future flexibility when the cap gets tough
Target a vet pg with Mitch (D'Lo?) and the Knicks are running the East by 2025

Green / Hartenstein
Hart / Achiuwa
Anunoby / Finney-Smith
Bridges / DiVincenzo
Brunson / Russell (Mitch Robinson trade)

-----

BRK
OUT Cam Johnson + Dorian Finney-Smith
IN Moses Moody + Jericho Sims + Chris Paul + 25 GSW 1st + 26 GSW 1st swap (top 7 pro)

I think this is enough value for their guys
Moody's potential for DFS' resume
A couple 1sts and an expiring for Cam
Tank rolls on

.....

GSW
OUT Draymond Green + Chris Paul + 25 1st + 26 1st swap (top 7 pro)
IN Julius Randle + Cam Johnson + Miles McBride

With the news that Klay is likely otw out, and the extended deadline on CP's option coming due again, the Warriors take the opportunity to give Steph a new roster with more scoring, defense, size & youth

Randle / Looney
Kuminga / Jackson-Davis
Johnson / Wiggins
Podziemski / Payton
Curry / McBride

-----

Tbh i should have checked the Knicks board first as they seem to want to keep Julius for at least this year and see how the team performs all together

Any takers for Draymond/DFS in NYKs spot?

No way, pretty sure all Knick fans hate Draymond. He’s too old anyway and we need Randle’s scoring and the attention he commands from defenses.

Heck no from the Warriors side. Not giving up picks and Stephs greatest teammate for Randle and whatever.

Easy pass.

I don't think the Fans want Green at all. Teams can't shift def attention away from Randle. Randle is not a great fit for thibs, But Green IMO may wreck that locker room.

Randle is a good player, but Draymond is a better one. Why is Golden State attaching so much value?

And while New York makes out like bandits on value, Brunson cannot generate all the offense. Adding in more defense at the expense of offense is going to wear out Brunson.

And of course the Nets are stealing too much value here. If DFS was worth even one first he was traded at the draft for sure. And Cam can't be worth much if any more than him as he doesn't do much but shoot and makes big money.

With the CP news, this is DOA, but just from NY perspective: Please keep Draymond Green and his antics, his lack of basketball skill, and his crappy attitude away from this team. If we want an out of control wanna-be fighter we will just re-sign Ron Artest.

If you give thibs 30 mill for a PF, he would not spend it on Randle is my point. I think Green from 4 years when he was 30 would have been more of a skill set suited for Thibs than Randle's is/was

What makes you think that? Thibs has been a big Randle fan during his tenure and we desperately need someone who can make Brunson's life easier on him...like Julius. Without Randle, Brunson becomes the only player on the entire team that puts pressure on the rim.
