MPJ for Huerter/Barnes
Denver has already had professional problems this year after losing Brown...losing KCP would be an even harder blow, they make a 2.x 1. Gets 2 solid players in a position of need
The Kings are consolidating, they need more size in the front court and Porter would fit like a glove

Would Denver actually consider this?
There is some injury concern with MPJ in the past & high salary but it looks like he played in 81 games last year.

Sheesh… I can’t say I don’t see. I think Denver needs a little bit more. I don’t think either fan base would be super happy. But I think it makes sense.
Denver running it back with Murray - Huerter - Barnes - Gordon - Jokic gives them 5 quality NBA players at least. But that defense is going to get destroyed and they still don’t have much in way of a bench.

Who knows. With KCP leaving, Braun is going to get promoted to the starting line up which means if Denver does nothing they have literally no NBA rotation level players on their bench.

I'd be happy as heck, just a tad concerned with previous injury and salary.
Worth the risk as long as the doctors say it's a go.
81 games played last year makes it seem much better.

Yeah I can see that. The injuries and contract still isn’t great though.
I do think the kings owe some assets to the nuggets so that Denver can go out and makes some bench upgrades. I think it’s a win for the kings though. MPJ taking the Barnes minutes is a upgrade offensively, and more importantly defensively.

Denver would want Keon Ellis, he is the KCP replacement.
I’m not sold on it from Sac’s side. MPJ isn’t the best fit with Sabonis/Murray.

What OP thought last week:
Astaluego wrote:I like a version where Porter goes to the Blazers when he is younger...something like Porter/Nnaji+FRP and Grant returns to Denver along with Thybulle as a replacement for KCP
https://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2388373Looks like I sold him on this version instead.

This idea was originally yours, I like it better for the Kings... I like the version with the Blazers better for Denver...

I wouldn't trade any of the Nuggets starters for downgrade on their position. And I like Huerter/Barnes. But I'm not sure they are starters on championship team. MPJ is. Denver needs playable bench players, nothing special, just solid backup PG and C to rest starters during regular season.
As for Sacramento if Denver is willing to trade MPJ, run and don't look back, because maybe his back problems are back.

About Grant, thanks but no thanks. We had him in Denver. He is one of the worst rebounding SFs/PFs in the league. I mean with his size/position he just needs to box-out to collect rebounds. But he doesn't. His defense is also overrated. He can make highlight plays but he doesn't play defense all the time while on the court. Not sure he would accept his role in our team.
Anyway, seems like nice guy I like him. He was part of our crazy playoff run when Denver came back from being down 3-1 twices and won. Thanks to him declining of Nuggets contract offer we traded for Aaron Gordon, so he already did enough for us.
