Cle / Utah / Hou

Cleveland gets: Keyonte George, Taylor Hendricks, Tari Eason and Jock Landale
Utah gets: Darius Garland, Max Strus and Georges Niang
Houston gets: Jarrett Allen
Why?
Cleveland adds quality young players and cap flexibility.
Utah gets their point guard of the future.
Houston gets their center of the future.

Swap out George for Collier and I’d consider it.

Thanks for the input. I personally would insist on George though.

Houston doesn't have BK first anymore, it's now Suns swap.
Swap Eason for and Tate and maybe.

So, you only have one 2025 first now? I forgot about that trade.

This is the worst. Not remotely interested from the Cleveland side.

This would be our roster after the trade:
PG: Keyonte George / Craig Porter Jr. / Ty Jerome
SG: Donovan Mitchell / Jaylon Tyson / Sam Merrill
SF: Tari Eason / Caris LeVert
PF: Taylor Hendricks / Dean Wade / Luke Travers / Isaiah Mobley
C: Evan Mobley / Jock Landale / Khalifa Diop
Coach: Kenny Atkinson
It makes more sense to me than what we have right now.

Houston has a starting center who is very very good, their best young player at this moment in time. don't see why they'd trade for another that can't play with him.

It was always a swap, BK right is extinguished, and now they have the right to swap in Phoenix instead.

I don't think Utah is in a position to accelerate their rebuild like this. The value is great, so we'd probably have to accept, but it is directionally weird.

The Cavs aren't trading three starters, and they're definitely not doing that for prospects of this caliber. They were the 4th seed. They won their first playoff series outside of LBJ era. They gave the Celtics the toughest series of any of their opponents. They hired Atkinson for a reason.
You're just way too obsessed with youth. That roster is decidedly worse than the one the Cavs have.
Keyonte George averaged 13.3 points and 4.4 assists last season.
Hendricks 7.3 points and 4.6 assists.
Eason is the best of the bunch and he averaged 9.8 points and 7 assists.
It's not clear these players even start on a good team and they're the headliners.
Landale is an awful backup on a bad contract. Porter is a backup journeyman. Travers has never set foot on an NBA court outside the SL and I. Mobley is only on an NBA roster due to nepotism.
You just sent out two guys who've been to an all star game and our best off ball starter for nonsense because you're obsessed with unproven players on rookie contracts.

My reasoning was that the Cavs improve their spacing, which right now limits our ceiling. Garland and Mitchell are not a good fit on either end, George gives us much needed size in our backcourt.
If you want to give Mobley more responsibilities offensively, isn't OP the type of trade they should be pursuing?

It gives us flexibility, the new CBA rules are harsh on tax teams.

I think Mitchell stays for two reasons. Number one, we can offer him more than anyone else. The other reason is that the assumption is that he likes the moves we make. He and Garland are not a good fit. Our frontcourt features two centers, one has to go.

Not interested in a big man rotation of Alperen Sengun, Jarrett Allen and Jabari Smith? Sengun isn't known for his defense and probably never will be.

Do me a favor and add up the points, assists, rebounds, and for spacing reasons - made three pointers you just sent out and compare those totals with what you just brought back. If Atkinson can't get more out of this team, then the Cavs may make a trade, or two, but it won't look anything like this. You can't take this type of a bath on talent in trades due to perceived *fit* and not get worse as a team.
I don't know how you can accurately apprise our ceiling when both Allen and Mitchell were out against the Celtics.
Finally, it's a fantasy board and all, but do you really think it's even remotely possible that the Cavs would do this? Do you really think that?

You are going to want someone bigger than George. I also think you need to shift Donovan to point guard.
