If we signed Paul George (which I would hate) and Marcus Morris Sr. (which I would be fine with) as is rumored - the lineup at this point would be something like this:

Paul George / Ricky Council IV
Marcus Morris / Paul Reed / Adem Bona
Joel Embiid / Andre Drummond

Wild though that someone is happy about Mook being a starter next year.

Does using a room MLE hardcap them at any apron?

They’re a bit weird because they’re counting Maxey as a $13M cap hold but eventually going to sign him for $35M. If they spend right up to their available cap and then use a room exception and bird rights extension on Maxey they’re going to be pushing the first apron.

I haven't seen anything that would indicate that it would, so I'm going to say no.

The potential hard cap issue they could run into is if they trade Paul Reed for a larger salary (more than 110%). I don't really think that's on the table though, because if they traded for a guy making 15M, they wouldn't even be able to fill out the roster with minimum salaries while staying below the first apron.

I'm pretty sure using the Room would hard cap a team at the 2nd apron at least. Pretty much everything hard-caps you at the 2nd apron.

I don't think so? At least I haven't seen it listed as a hard cap trigger and haven't heard it mentioned at all during this process (either the lead up to using it or now that they have)

Eh, I don't think it's really below market. DJJ is a marginally better player and got marginally more money. Years kinda feel like a wash (DJJ got 3 years, KO got 2 with a player option).

That leaves $9.2M in space. K. Oubre (Room Exception) and E. Gordon (Veteran Minimum) will sign after cap space is all used.

What can Philly give Oubre next year if he plays well?

This establishes early bird rights right? So should be able to give him a really ugly close to 20 mil per year..

But I think it’s fair value for Oubre as is.
