My dream signing for Memphis is gone..sad. Surprised he reupped with the limited minutes he is likely to get there if Isaac is back as a regular rotation guy and Wagner comes back.

Didn't think he'd re-sign with us tbh. But I do think this is conditional that he'll play more this year, which he was really solid when he did.

I didnt think he'd be back. I thought he'd prefer to go somewhere with more playing time.
This is a reasonable contract for him. I was thinking he'd get somewhere between 8-11 mill/yr. Happy to have him back. He's a great teammate, good defender and rebounder and is capable of starting when WCJ is injured.

That's reasonable for both sides. I like Bitadze, really solid player.

Knicks should have been more aggressive here IMO

I agree, Orlando should send Isaak to the Raptors.

Solid money , just don’t see enough playing time for him and Mo if both is back.

I’m really glad for Goga. Super good dude. Sucks he had to leave Indy to get any solid chance, but really glad to see that he’s earned it.

When you’re starting C is out 20-30 games a year you’ve got to have 2 backups. Goga & Moe Wagner will be solid.

I think all Indy fans feel the same. And we all knew pretty early on that he had a place in the league but it would be elsewhere unfortunately.

Didn't they decline his option?

Presumably to re-sign him to a multi year deal though. They still have bird rights and the FAs worth it to go the cap space route are gone now.

Zero risk for Orlando -- if ORL gets a log jam at C, both Bitadze and Carter are good values on their contracts

Yes, to resign to a longer deal using the exception. However, you can’t use the exception until you use your cap which they’re slowly doing with Goga and now restructuring Isaac’s deal.

Didn't Goga know my Knicks need a center???? I'm not sure how much money New York could have offered him. It may have just been the tax payer's exception but they could have figured out a way to get him some more money. I don't know and I don't care. Orlando didn't even have him the rotation for the playoffs.
Does anyone want to donate a center to the Knicks?

Yes, in order to resign him longer.

Everyone's dream backup Center is off the market. Oh well, we couldn't afford to offer him that much. Surprised he didn't go somewhere with a clearer path to PT though.
