Heat get - John Collins, Tre Jones, 2029 protected 1st (SA), 2025 2nd round pick
Heat give up - Tyler Herro, Orlando Robinson
Why for Miami - currently Bam and Herro are the only player not on a rookie contract on the books in 2026-2027. Herro has fallen out of touch in Miami and with a deep roster and a number of shooters they could look to move him. Collins comes home to south florida and is a good expiring contract to have around next year for the Heat, even though 2026-2027 is the goal. Tre Jones will be a good consistent backup PG and they get a few picks back.
Jazz get - Tyler Herro, Keldon Johnson, 4 1sts from SA (2025, 2025 CHA, 2027, 2031) and 2 pick swaps from SA
Jazz give up - Lauri Markkanen, John Collins
Why for Utah - Herro and Keldon both played at Kentucky and are notably friends. Bringing both of them on contracts that align, 3 years out, plus 4 1sts and 2 swaps (that Charlotte 2025 pick being the nicest prize). Utah could opt to reroute 1 pick to Miami and keep 4 in order for Miami to help facilitate the trade, as SA wouldn't want Collins.
Spurs get - Lauri Markkanen, Orlando Robinson (for $ to work)
Spurs give up - Tre Jones, Keldon Johnson, 5 1st round picks, 2 pick swaps, 1 2nd round pick
Why for Spurs - They get the best player in the deal and a virtual super team.
