Jazz/Warriors

Lauri Markkanen in exchange for Jonathan Kuminga, Mosses Moody, Warriors 2027 1st round pick, pick swap with the Warriors for both 2028 and 2030, Warriors 2031 1st round pick(all unprotected)

Why would the Jazz do this? They would get additional draft assets on top of the picks they already have and they would get Kuminga, who can easily develop into a all star cailber player and take a shot at developing Mosses Moody.

Why would the Warriors do this? With this move, they would end the two timeline stuff where they try to win now while also rebuild, which simply hasn't worked for them ever since they won the Championship a couple of years ago, and simply go all in on win now mode. Lauri Markkanen would be a perfect fit next to Stephen Curry and would make the Warriors a much better team overall.

Seems about right. Maybe gs keeps Kuminga or gets Walker or something. But I think this is the ballpark.

Golden State shouldn't do this. They aren't any kind of contender with Lauri.

My question would be - what would Kuminga bring if the Jazz traded him in February.

Add that to what Markkanen would return if traded elsewhere and measure the deal.

I could be wrong but I think Dubs cannot trade 2030 first because it's owed to Washington and thus cannot trade a 2031 pick either

Correct, they owe the 2030 pick (1-20 protected, otherwise their 2030 2nd) which blocks off 2029 and 2031, as well. So, the deal would involve their 2026 and 2028 1sts with swaps, or their 2025 and 2027 1sts with swaps. I would probably push for 2026 and 2028 picks so that we have additional picks in those years. Kuminga, honestly I would let Golden State keep him as long as we return essentially every available swap with those picks.

Looney + GP2 + Santos + 2026 GSW 1st (unprotected) + 2028 GSW 1st (unprotected) + 2027 pick swap (Utah has the rights to swap one of MIN/CLE 1sts for GSW 1st) + 2029 pick swap (Utah has the right to swap one of UTA/CLE 1sts for GSW 1st) + ???

I'd push for one more swap, but this is a lot of potential value. Warriors would be looking pretty interesting with:

Draymond/TJD
Lauri/Anderson/Kuminga
Wiggins/Kuminga
Podzemski/Moody
Curry/Podzemski

That is the going price for Marlene but I wouldn't pay it. Id rather gamble on Wiggins bounce back to Warrior norm and Kuminga, Moody development

One Curry injury and Warriors 30 win or worse team

So basically two 1sts and two swaps. I think a few teams could beat that offer like my Spurs or the Thunder

I think they are very high upside swaps and picks, but yes, the Spurs and Thunder could easily beat the Warriors' best offer.

If we get to keep jk, podz, and moody take all our 1sts.

I think if the Warriors trade for Lauri JK gets included and the Warriors try to avoid sending the furthest out pick and maybe 1 swap. Both JK and Lauri are due big extensions and that would put the Warriors well into the 2nd apron. I doubt there is the salary capacity to handle both in the long run. JK also plays the same position.

The Jazz also have a ton of picks, I'd think they'd want a mix of valuable young guys and picks.
