Post#1 » by shagadelic45 » Wed Jul 3, 2024 10:52 pm

HOU TRADES: FVV, Sengun, Whitmore

PHX TRADES: Durant, Nurkic, Little

Rockets make a splash with a rumored interest in getting a superstar to lead the team..........

Suns get under the apron and remain competitive

If the Suns got that offer they’d be idiots to pass on it.

Nah, we good.

We would want Booker and we would want to pay in picks.

Again, we would be looking to pay in picks, not our prospects.

It's just so far from reasonable. Book is still top 15. His price is definitely higher than Mikal. You gotta put a blue chip in to get that guy.

I think you add Sengun and drop one of the 1sts and it's a convo.

One of whitmore , amen or Eason should be enough in return for one of the first.Rockets take 1 of the 3 off the table and suns get to choose between the remaining 2.

Sengun isn't going anywhere.

Jalen Green is in there, a high upside prospect and 4 picks is enough.

The Suns might trade Booker in 2026 if they're out of other moves, but I don't see anyway they do it in the summer of 2024. The moment they trade Booker, both Durant and Beal ask out. They're not going to blow up that team this season.

Seriously? I don’t think so at all. I like Sengun but it’s hard to build around bad defensive bigs. If he becomes 90% of Joker it’s great but Id want picks and wings back for KD - and not Jalen Green.

I really don’t think the Rockets would be able to dictate the Suns trade options like this just because they have the Suns picks. Not that Boom is going anywhere for a couple season and least. If this season is like last season, you can start making legit Booker proposals but Green won’t be relevant.

Those picks are way more valuable than the Knicks picks BKN got tbf if the suns are blowing it up whenever this theoreticak trade is and Green is still (theoretically) something more than filler.
But yeah there'd have to be some combo of swaps/Whitmore/Eason/Houstons own picks added, don't think they'd add Sengun

That's an insulting offer that he did bordering on trolling IMO. I'd respond in kind with an equally insulting offer to that guy but I assume I'd catch a strike for posting it lol.

Your offer is better.

I don’t think KD’s impact matches his numbers/accolades anymore. Plus he’s had one healthy outlier season since 2019 so I’d sell high right now.

That’s fair, I just don’t think this is the kind of peak value I’d be looking for. Id want picks and 3/D wings.

But I mean everything you said could be true and Book and KD still give the Suns a punchers chance at a title. Year over year the roster is better around them. Giving them another run has a lot of value.

There just isn't a trade here, not until the Suns are ready to blow it up and get their picks back.

I’d assume an offer similar to this will stay on the table for Durant.

Brooks + salary fillers (Jeff, Landale, Tate) and the 3 Suns picks returned

I expect Suns pass easily right now, but maybe that changes by the deadline. I think we’d pay ALOT for Devin.

And Suns would like to be paid in picks while having an aging Durant on the books WHY? Sure, they could trade Durant for more picks again, but then they're starting again from ZERO...
