Dude...

Setting aside how bad of an idea it is for the Cavs to trade unprotected picks that far out, how exactly, did you arrive at the conclusion that Hunter is worth that? I'm genuinely curious.

When I come up with trade ideas, I try to be reasonable for both sides. I think Hunter is a player that fits the roster, is still young and on a reasonable contract.

That criteria could probably apply to 100-150 players in the NBA. It's not nearly enough to justify surrendering that type of draft capital. Here's a link to Hunter's page on a good resource. Pay attention the number of games he misses and his career averages. Go the Strus page and contrast them.

I think Max and Hunter are about the same value wise. Those picks are wild to me.

I'm aware that he's injury prone. Maybe this isn't the right deal then.

It’s a good question, bad trade proposal.

I guess they need Mitchell on an extension before they can do anything.

I don't really get it for Atlanta either. Sure, the value is in their favor, but Trae will be on the wrong side of 30 when those picks come up.

I would rather have Strus and Okoro than Hunter and Dinwiddie and it's not particularly close.

I highly doubt Atlanta would be keeping the picks if that was to happen.

It's close w/o the picks, the idea of Hunter is amazing, the reality of Strus is better, Niang bad contract isn't a reason to do the swap IMO.

I wouldn’t do this without the picks

Hunter is probably the most natural trade piece for the Cavs. He's actually much better off the bench vs starting.

Wait? You have to walk me through how Hunter has this much value.

He signed a three year max extension right.

Somehow missed that. Now they need to get busy.

I have max and Hunter too close on value honestly. Strus shoots more 3s and hit them at a similar rate as Hunter, is better at assists and similar in rebounding. Both mediocre at defense... Hunter is more expensive...

I think Hunyer is way too injury prone to justify that pick package. Not to mention when he does play, he never really lived up to his hype/promise
