GSW-MIL-NOP Trade

Post#1 » by rambo_ortega » Sat Jul 6, 2024 5:45 am

Warriors Get:
Brandon Ingram

If Buddy is Klay lite, BI is KD lite. Both younger versions to play with Steph and Dray.

Curry/Podziemski/Ingram/Green/Looney
Melton/Hield/Kuminga/Anderson/TJD

Bucks Get:
Andrew Wiggins

They unload Lopez for a younger wing who will bring defense and a new dimension to their offense.

Dame/Middleton/Wiggins/Giannis/Portis
Wright/Jackson/Connaughton/Prince

Pelicans Get:
Brook Lopez
Gary Payton II
Marjon Beauchamp

This team has good defensive pieces which will be more emphasized with this trade

Murray/CJ/Jones/Zion/Lopez
Alvarado/Payton/Beauchamp/Murphy/Robinson-Earl

Feel like the parents could keep Ingram and still get a 36 year old center.

Both, Pelicans and Bucks get fleaced here. Warriors would need a lot of picks to pull this off.

Not sure how GSW turns Wiggins and GPII into Ingram without including any positive assets. I feel like they would need to attach assets to dump both of these contracts.

Replace GPII with Moody and Jackson-Davis and add a top 5-10 protected 1st and the value gets you closer.

I am extremely low on Ingram to GS. He lacks the off-ball skills to play in the Warrior motion offense. I'd still make this deal for GS, but I wouldn't add meaningful assets to make it even remotely close to what NO would insist on to make a deal.

It's a great deal for GS (but not NO), although I think the interest in BI is questionable. They did just hire his mentor Jerry Stackhouse though. Still don't know why Ingram for Jarrett Allen hasn't happened yet. Makes more sense for NO imo
