Yep. I called this a while ago. Paying another team to eat his guarantee is just good business. This is a sign the Spurs want to use cap space though.

This has got to be the end of his NBA career, right?

he's being waived because there's like $10M in UNG money, there's no way he never gets another opportunity imo, too good a passer and (streaky) shooter to completely overlook on a minimum contract.

I liked Graham as a 3rd PG for Minnesota before drafting Dilly.
I think he will have plenty opportunities.

I agree, he'll be a sneaky add for a contender on a 1 year vet min - Denver and Dallas come to mind, even Minny.

Good news for Graham is he made JUST under the MLE this year. I don't know if the buyout restrictions apply for off-season waivers, but he would be safe to sign with any other team even if they do.

I mean he's fine as your emergency 3rd PG who can create a little inefficient offense in a pinch. But he's not a guy likely to be in a playoff rotation.

Likely not, but I think he'll help a contender get through the grind of the season

Because of the talk of SAC having the third team in a DeRozan S&T already set, a lot of Spurs fans believe the club is planning on taking one of Barnes or Huerter to facilitate. Of course if it's Huerter, I'm gonna have to be eating some crow. The good news for me is that neither guy fits into the $16,623,950 (EDIT: It's down to $15,128,630 now that Castle has signed for 120 percent of his rookie-scale amount) of cap space the team currently has (assuming the renounce their FAs/RFA but not that they waive any other contracts). They'd have to include someone like Branham or Wesley or waive Champagnie or Bassey (or include them). If they do either of those things, they'd likely be able to back either player. The team could also ask Paul to take a tiny bit less to allow Huerter's salary to fit if they went that route.
They could also do something fun like Lopez/Connaughton for Collins and JUST have the cap space to pull that off. It'd drag the Bucks way under the second apron and save the Spurs a respectable amount on next year's cap.

For Lauri, I hope? I'd love Lauri Bird with Wemby.
I'm a Celtics fan tried-and-true.

No team trying to win will add and play Granham a single minute. Even for the minimum

I believe he's straddling the finish line.

Huerter to the Spurs, especially if they can steal some value, would be awesome. I know he had a down year, but a year ago, he was a very valuable starter for a top seed. Playing beside Wemby could get him back to that level

I would love him on a vet min as the third PG for the Kings the way the roster is reshaping.

Looks like CHA decided to include cash instead of a fake second to make the trade legal. It basically means the Hornets bought NOP25 for around $3.5M to $4M
