Jazz decide to keep Lauri and try to win.

Kessler
Williams (10th pick in draft)
Collins

For

Ingram

Why for Pels: pels could use Kessler and Collins size and Williams gives them a young player with good upside.

Why for utah: Ingram gives the Jazz a primary scoring option. He should fit well with Lauri and Jazz can afford to pay the man the max deal he wants.

Shrugs. This is better than just a future first for NOP but probably depends on how they feel about Kessler and Williams obviously.

And Utah can shop Clarkson and 1-2 future picks for a replacement center after they use their cap space on Lauri.

That doesn't seem like much for Ingram. A bench C, PF and the 4th SF picked in a weak draft.

I'd rather keep Williams and Kessler than trade for Ingram and have to be the team that meets his contract demands or watches him walk.

At this point, this would be a great deal for the Pels. Probably even works with some other asset(s) than Cody Williams in there.
Ainge may be more comfortable gambling on Ingram without an extension agreement in place, seeing him more as an asset that can be flipped for more value later, or extended if he excels.

A more interesting scenario.... Ingram + many picks and swaps, for Lauri. like the Dame/Jrue trade, if they can't find an immediate 3rd team, Ainge could take Ingram as the salary back and work on trades later to flip him for more assets. If they can't find an acceptable trade before the season, they go into next season and feature Ingram to raise his value, like they've done with Lauri.
