How often are players claimed off waivers? When I initially saw this headline I assumed they had come to an agreement in free agency.

Yeah, weird how things happened, it should've been a trade between Detroit and Philly, instead of Philly waiving him, with them getting a fake 2nd.

Like the move. I have to believe a trade is coming though. This in theory reopens the possibility of Stewart getting minutes at the 4 like he did last year.

And...I hated that.

He is 23 and on a flat 15m per year deal for 4 seasons. Thats going to be a great contract IMO.

I considered Sac asking for the other 27 2nd Detroit has. It’s close. Either way, it makes Sac a much more balanced team and adds front court depth along with the need for length and toughness. Stew and Sabonis means a long ice bath for opposing players post game.
