A real star-studded 3-team trade proposal

Chicago in: Jock Landale

Brooklyn in: Chris Duarte

Houston in: A nice $8mm Trade Exception

Why for Chicago?
I like the chemistry between Landale and Giddey when watching Team Australia and think Chicago can use another center.

Why for Brooklyn?
Nets get a look at a player on the final year of his rookie deal. Is that player who average 13 points on decent shooting his rookie year still in there? Nets can have his bird right or let him go, no risk in them taking a look and using some of the O'Neale Trade Exception to do so

Why for Houston?
They create a nice $8m trade exception and open a roster spot for summer league standout Orlando Robinson

Pretty low risk for all involved to get a closer look at a player that might fit better on their team and get more opportunity too

I don’t think Brooklyn is interested in an underachieving 27 year old at this point in their rebuild.

That's on the knee jerk reaction page.

Giddey will be the starter for the Bulls, Vucevic will start at center, just how many minutes would Landale exhibit his chemistry with Josh if Smith is the backup center? Or even if Smith takes the backup PF role how many minutes would Giddey and Landale intersect? ?

Right now Duarte doesn't see much time for the Bulls but at 6-6 or 6-7 he can be available as a SF, are we all certain Zach will be playing every game or that Lonzo is an option? He might be expendable if they bring back Javonte Green,

The Rockets have Landale's contract and has a further team option out into the future, they have no incentive to make this trade right now, they literally gave up flexibility for nothing here so the only reason they'd do this is if they really think they need a roster slot, and even then they probably waive like Tate first or something.

They need at least a half decent 2nd or something

Yeah, that's why they already traded him.

Oh, you meant Duarte?!

If Houston didn't want Landale around they would have waived him. Already have the mle to use as a trade exception if they want, don't need both because it would put them into the tax to use them anyways

I don't think this one works for Chi. We could use another center, but not badly (since we should be rebuilding anyway)
