Russell Westbrook to the Jazz again.
They're developing a great working relationship.

He just keeps showing up, collecting a buyout check, and leaving

For what it's worth, on the Athletic...
The Los Angeles Clippers are sending guard Russell Westbrook, a second-round pick swap and cash to the Utah Jazz in a sign-and-trade agreement for guard Kris Dunn, a team and league source confirmed.
Westbrook is expected to agree on a contract buyout with the Jazz, clearing the way for him to eventually join the Denver Nuggets after clearing waivers, the sources said.
Westbrook picked up the player option on his contract for 2024-25, but the Clippers wanted to find a trade partner for him. The plan was to part ways this offseason, team and league sources told The Athletic’s Shams Charania, and the Nuggets were a front-runner.
This story will be updated.

Not sure such a minor deal ever took so long to finalize.
But good for LAC and nice of Utah to help out. Didn’t get much value, but didn’t cost much to do it..
Still hope to see Russ back home.

I can't believe we couldn't even get a 2030 second.
Instead, we had to settle for... a 2030 swap in the second.

This is how they’re doing it. Utahs gonna waive Westbrook and he’ll sign a minimum with Denver

The Jazz legend returns. I'll miss Dunn, my favorite player the last couple of years.

I can't see how it would, other than maybe eating up a tiny portion of their cap. But they wouldn't have done it if it had real implications there

A second round pick swap doesn't feel like enough compensation to eat Westbrooks contract.

a) you're getting cash
b) he might give back some money (ie the amount he makes w/ next team on vet min)

Seems like a favour to Dunn for his service, not a huge mystery, it's 4 mil expiring deal...

Not likely a thanks to Dunn who is a footnote of a Jazz. But a favor to his agent? Oh yeah. Westbrook's agent? Absolutely. The Clippers? Can't hurt.
This is a relationship business, big-time. Jazz are helping those relationships at a minimal cost. Smart bit of business.
