Portland sends Ayton/Thybulle
Utah sends Kessler/Collins/Clarkson

Utah gets a center on the same age group of Markkanen and Sexton, dump off Collins. Thybulle is an odd man out in Portland, good enough to play but Blazers are going even younger with Sharpe/Henderson/Avdija/Clingan.

Portland moves off Ayton and takes on a smaller contract in Collins allowing them to move Grant more judiciously. Kesler becomes the backup he is destined to be behind Clingan. Clarkson can be bought out or kept when Simons get moved.

I think the value is solid for POR but not sure the team is looking for another young C after drafting Clingan.

I would be so mad if Ayton was ever on my team. I think he is almost untradeable.

I'd trade Ayton for just about anything, but this is nearly pointless because Portland won't want to invest in Kessler, either. You could send him to a third team that returns something both Portland and Utah could actually use, I guess. But then, that's the team giving up value and you might as well cut Portland out if you're Utah so that you don't have to absorb Ayton.

For me Kessler is a backup center. He could emerge Hartenstein like, a backup that eventually gets good.
