Dray, Klay and LuKy
DAL in: Green, Waters III.
DAL out: Washington, Powell, Prosper, '25 DAL 1st
Why? Get an upgrade with elite defense to try and go for it all.
Kyrie/Dinwiddie
Thompson/Grimes
Doncic/Marshall
Green/Kleber
Lively/Gafford
GSW in: Washington, Powell, Prosper, '25 DAL 1st
GSW out: Green, Waters III.
Why? Sell their veteran for young pieces and a pick (I'm assuming they move Wiggins somewhere).
Curry/Payton
Podziemski/Hield
Kuminga/Moody
Washington/Anderson
Jackson-Davis/Looney
DAL out: Washington, Powell, Prosper, '25 DAL 1st

Re: Dray, Klay and LuKy
Can't see GSW being ready to punt yet. And if they are this feels really light for Draymond. Also Dallas would probably try and use Gafford instead of Washington. Value difference can't be much, but Washington can play with Dray and Lively and would keep Dallas from having two total non-shooters out there together as much.

Don’t see what this does for GS. They’re not rebuilding and this doesn’t make them better and the young guys they get nor the pick have much value

GS would ask for Lively and Dallas would immediately hang up, and that would be the end of this convo.

Would GS ask for Lively? I feel like they'd be a lot more reasonable given Dray has publicly stated he's only interested in playing 2 more years. They'd only trade him if they suck this year and Curry wants out, and in that scenario, i think his value would be about the same as OP, ~2 mediocre 1sts and no bad money (1st and PJ, who's worth a 1st himself)

Re: Dray, Klay and LuKy
OP is illegal. Dallas only has 500k space before 1st apron. Dray alone makes 2M more than the outgoing package.
Maybe something like gafford (to 3rd team) + kleber + Omax + 1st works

Re: Dray, Klay and LuKy
GS hasn't shown ready to give up yet. One of the few ways to get Curry to ask out might be to trade Draymond for nothing comparable to play now, which is what this trade is. Draymond was really good when he came back from his suspension.
Dray is too integral to what GS does, if he's lasted the punch, suspensions etc he's not getting traded for a platter of stuff. He's Kerr and Curry's guy.

I don’t think GS would trade Draymond for “fair” value

Re: Dray, Klay and LuKy
if the Warriors are expecting PJ to even partially replace Draymond Green, they should just trade Steph here now because that's not going to end well for them. like him or not, he is absolutely essential to the entire Warriors system and without him, Steph is on his own.
investigate Adam Silver

Re: Dray, Klay and LuKy
I have this as an overpay for Draymond, and wrong direction roster build wise for the Mavs.
Draymond is 34, non-shooter, who seems to have crossed the line and in on thin ice with the league, PJ Washington OTOH is local guy, who embraced his role in the team and within the fanbase.
I also don't see GS doing this, Green is key to their scheme on both ends.

This is what I was thinking. Golden State needs more in this trade. Another late pick isn’t enough…Lively probably too much.
I kind of like the general idea for Dallas I think, but as written there is nothing to get Golden State interested.

Re: Dray, Klay and LuKy
I think both teams are hard capped at the 1st apron with only a few hundred K to work with. I think as written Dallas is taking back to much money. You need to get the dollar difference down to less than 500 K

Re: Dray, Klay and LuKy
Dray is a bad fit in Dallas. Dray can't shoot so the only way to use him on offense is to give him the ball as a passing hub or run DHO's with him where he sets a lot of screens. I don't see that working with Luka. Luka needs either a screen and roll guy or a pick and pop guy to run the 2-man game, with everyone else being shooters. Draymond fits none of those roles.

I like Draymond on Dallas. Assist and defense could had been useful in the finals.
Keep Washington. Send Gafford to a team like the pels.

Really? You wouldn’t do it as the OP posted? I totally get Lively being too much, that’s basically what I was saying.

Is it tho? The 20yo center that basicly turned mavs season around singlehandily vs the 35 yo that is impossible to even figure out how to fit in with luka kyrie and klay. Not to even start talking about the money difference with todays cba.
I dont mind steph per se, but it wouldnt be lively. Only way would be if its kyrie

Yes. Green is good but doesnt do much. Mavs didnt lose the final because of defense, they lost because they shot like ****. Adding green does nothing to fix that, and PJ is removed who are one of few that actually hit a 3 in the po.
In no world green is worth a prospect a first and pj today. Teams cant really play that shortsighted game anymore

Re: Dray, Klay and LuKy
Draymond Green was every bit as important as Steph himself to the dynasty but he doesn't volume score or shoot 3's well so some still think he sucks. Okay.......
And I love Lively, but to suggest you wouldn't give him up for Steph Curry. Cmon bro. One season of Steph is probably still worth more than an entire career of Derrick Lively. You guys really do not understand how value MVP or near as level seasons are somehow.
To help you, take Luka off Dallas. Not only are they not a Finals team. They aren't a play-in team. Steph is still nearly a Luka level player.
Sometimes we are way too blinded by our fandom.
