Lakers
Out R HACHIMURA | D RUSSELL | G VINCENT | C WOOD | 25 LAC OR LAL 2nd
In Z LAVINE | J CARTER

LAL shakes up the roster & leaves room for some imagination

Reaves - LaVine - Christie - James - Davis
Carter - Knecht - Reddish - Vanderbilt - Hayes

Kings
Out K HUERTER | T LYLES | 27 SAC 2nd
In R HACHIMURA | C WOOD | W MOORE JR

SAC picks up Rui who can slide into various lineups

Fox - Ellis - DeRozan - Murray - Sabonis
Carter - Monk - McDaniels - Hachimura - Wood

Bulls
Out Z LAVINE | J CARTER
In B BROWN | T HARDAWAY JR | T LYLES

CHI gets off some big money for pure expirings

White - Giddey - Brown - Williams - Vucevic
Dosonmu - Hardaway Jr - Buzelis - Lyles - Smith

Pistons
Out T HARDAWAY JR | W MOORE JR
In G VINCENT | C BOUCHER | 25 LAC OR LAL 2nd | 26 TOR 2nd | 27 SAC 2nd

DET adds some quality 2nds & solid vets

Cunningham - Ivey - Harris - Reed - Duren
Sasser - Vincent - Beasley - Holland - Stewart

Raptors
Out B BROWN | C BOUCHER | 26 TOR 2nd
In D RUSSELL | K HUERTER

TOR cashes in on a good opportunity to pickup 2 great shooters other RealGMs seem to be afraid of

Quickley - Barrett - Huerter - Barnes - Poeltl
Russell - Mitchell - Dick - Agbaji - Olynyk

Doesn't seem that far off. I'm sure no one will be really happy.

I would say that I don't see Toronto giving up even a 2nd in this deal. If anything I'd have Chicago sending out one or two 2nds - one to Det in place of the Toronto 2nd and maybe one in to Toronto. But it is in the quibbling about 2nds range of value.

Maybe this sends some team over a luxury tax line or apron they don't want to /can't cross but otherwise seems balanced (if somewhat improbably big).

Somehow I don't see Chicago managing to turn LaVine into pure expiring contracts.

I don't understand it for the Kings or Raptors.

Because they wont

This is LAUGHABLE

Dlo is a neutral value at worst imo, hes an expiring who is a very solid reg season guy. Not a good playoff performer though

Rui is worth a few 2nds

Vincent is a negative by some 2nds

Lavine is a BIG NEGATIVE with that contract

To give that all up and take on Lavine, I expect to get compensated back with a backup C and or a playoff rotation guard/wing

Portland can get back their protected 1st from Chi and send us Reath for example

Then I expect something small like a wing/guard or some Chi 2nds

Then can use those 2nds and guys like JHS, a 1st and or swap for a playable wing

Pretty hard pass from the pistons. We aren't taking 2 year contracts form 2nds. Also, "solid vets" is a really generous description of vincent and boucher.

POR might be able to work out a deal with CHI.

As a Bulls fan, I wouldn't propose this so as not to get pummeled for being unrealistic. It's that big of a Santa Claus gift.

Besides Lavine Carter, even with the small 2 year deal he has, is the 2nd in line to get moved, barring a Vucevic miracle. Didn't play much last year doesn't figure to play at all this year.

So moving their two players and getting a much wanted Bruce Brown to start for a year at the 4, freeing Patrick Williams to be the SF, have THJ to come off the bench until dealt at the deadline as an expiring to a contender, the same probably applying to Brown and Lyles as a backup. And they do this without having to buy out anybody and there's room for him to play if Lonzo Ball is actually able to play.

It's almost as if Kanrasovas was allowed to fill in his wish list and it somehow got stamped, APPROVED.

Agreed. 2nds are not worth much. The odds of getting a good rotation player (let alone a starter) in the 2nd round are not good. So why get three of them to help Chicago w their Lavine problem?

Hardaway’s expiring contract will be a nice trade chip at the deadline and might bring back a real asset. This deal doesn’t do it.

Agree that the Pistons want no part of this. Giving up cap space next year for a handful of seconds is pointless, and if the "useful vets" get us an extra couple of wins, we're still deep in the lottery.

Also don't see why the Raptors want any part of this, especially with a SRP going out. Likely lottery teams shouldn't go for questionable upgrades while giving up draft compensation

For the Kings, I'd prefer Huerter and Lyles to the Lakers coming in, but I can at least see it if anyone values Hachimura higher than I do

Good for the Lakers though

Eh, im gonna slightly disagree with my fellow Piston fans here in believing that the Pistons are going to be vastly improved this year, and because of the new rules, 2nd round picks have a ton more value to certain teams now.

Don't love the contracts, but cap space is way overrated, and these contracts, along with the picks, could help facilitate a trade down the road.

Ones expiring, and the other is for 11.5 for one additional year. easily tradeable.

I'm in, barely.

In this scenario it seems like Bulls are committing to a tank. Is there any reason to include the wood/lyles swap? I'd clean that part up, send Wood to Chicago, keep Lyles in Sac. I think Chicago actually prefers that, saves them 5 million and avoid the tax.

That makes it an easy yes from Sac. Huerter + 2nd for Rui, not sure Rui is great but it shifts to more of a position of need.

Chicago gets all expirings, save a tiny bit of $ this year.

Toronto pushes for a play in spot. That team is probably better than most think. Dlo/IQ/Huerter/Dick/Barrett/Barnes/Olynyk/Poeltl

Detroit shifts meh for meh. Gets 2nds.

Lakers get a 3rd "star"

Russell/Vincent/Vanderbilt/Wood/JHS for LaVine appears to work, but one of the players needs to go to a third team. LAL sends out $47.2 million and brings in $43 million. They are already at 17 players on their payroll, so they would have $4.2 million in room under the second apron to sign 1 or 2 players. This lets them keep a pretty key part of their rotation (Rui).

Actually, it probably works with LAL keeping JHS and staying at 14 players on their roster for the year.

See this makes more sense to involve Sac in this deal because we would want to ADD to our front court depth not trade away a consistent and useful 4/5 stretch that is cheap in Lyles for a far more expensive, inconsistent and not true anything position wise Rui. He is more of a luxury to contend depth piece than a key cog role player.

But ultimately as much as I’d LOVE to be a part of sending LAL into second tier hell for multiple years, there is too much chance that Levine has just been playing possum and he gets energized in LA and they become a real problem in our division.

So I say no.

Edit - also I forgot but Wood would have to be pre agreed to a buyout because he is a known locker room cancer that I don’t want anywhere near my team.
