POR-LAL-CHI :: LaVine to Lakers

Lakers get LaVine, Reath
Lakers give Dlo, Rui, VIncent
LaVine, Reaves, Vando, Lebron, Davis -- Fultz/THT, Christie, Knecht, Wood, Reath
Lakers bring in LaVine with a backup C, they need a backup PG after this trade and likely go for Fultz but could see a THT return too.
Bulls get Rui, Dlo, Vincent
Bulls give LaVine, Jevon, POR25FRP(1-14)
Whie, Ayo, Giddey, PatWill, Vuc -- DLo, Terry/Ball, Buzelis, Rui, Smith
Bulls move on LaVIne contract with the Portland pick and bring in Rui with an expiring DLo and negative Vincent deal.
Blazers get Jevon, POR25FRP(1-14)
Blazers give Reath
Scoot, Sharpe, Deni, Grant, Ayton -- Banton, Simons, Thybulle, Toumani, Clingan
Blazers get their pick flexibility back for taking on salary and giving up Reath.

If it doesn't put portland into the tax ok
the pick is likely just a second but it is good for our flexibility
good work

O i just realized you want us to stretch vincent... o no... no more dead money on the books to save a 2nd round pick
it would have to be a real 1st to eat vincent

Once again, Chi is getting off way too easy
They get off of Lavine, who is a big negative overall due to contract for a Dlo expiring and Rui (cost us 3 2nds and is a weak starter or a solid bench player)
I am barely even factoring in the injry risk with Lavine
Chi needs to give up 1-2 2nds at least to us if they dont want to part with Ayo in this deal
This deal is a huge risk for us, similar to the Russ deal, but its 3 years instead of 2 and the CBA is way tougher now on mistakes
The fit is a lot better though and probably take KCP and Kuzma>Dlo and Rui
If it is between this (with some 2nds received) or nothing besides a backup C, I probably say yes

POR will pass and look for a deal that brings that pick back, doesn’t stretch a guy we don’t want anyway.

I think you guys should be getting Rui if possible (can dump back a small salary if needed) or just holding Gabe
Chi needs to add some 2nds here

Stretch and waive $4.4m per season for 5 seasons.

If that's the case then perhaps Vincent goes to Bulls and you get Carter instead?
I have edited the OP based on first few comments.

Cut out LAL entirely and deal with CHI directly. LAL can find another Dance partner that wants to pay Vincent not to play for 4 years. Good grief it gets worse the more I think about it.
Hell no.

The revised OP works for me.

The revised trade is much more palatable since it does not require stretching dead money
I think we just finished paying varejao's stretch recently... and there is still a couple other still

Andrew Nicholson from 2017ish was pretty recent.

Bulls giving up Carter while getting Vincent is better than the typical rehash of this. Bulls aren't fond of stretching and waiving players, they've paid enough coaches to go away they aren't going to do it for players.
I just about like the lineup of
Williams Craig Terry
Hachimura Phillips Buzellis
Vucevic Smith
White DLo Duarte
Giddey Dosunmu maybe Ball Vincent
I'm game to just make a CHI/PORT deal but I think it needs to be bigger with Ayton and Vucevic because unlike the typical LAL 3 way PORT doesn't have a way to send the Bulls a starting PF like maybe Murray and who knows what direction the Blazers want to pick. No the Bulls don't want Grant

I know. Still no thanks.
I get that the Lakers could use a dynamic scorer such as LaVine, but with his contract and complete lack of defense its just a bad idea.
That type of player - the one-way dynamic scorer **** never win you titles and for that reason they shouldn't take up so much of your cap.

No reason to stretch him, its only a 2 year deal for 11m/year
OP edited the trade and it works better
I think you guys may need to add in another guy to not pay the luxury tax

There’s no fixing this

As long as fans keep convincing themselves they're giving up gold and receiving coal, I'd agree.
