Said this in the general thread, but it seems like a missed opportunity not to use Little in a trade for an upgrade somewhere, even if it was just a marginal one. He's one of their only deals that falls between a vet min and a max.

Little is terrible.

Seems like they just lost their best filler for trade..

But I guess now you can't aggregate so could've only got a low salary player back.

With what incentive? They’re basically out of draft compensation….

But I still would’ve probably kept Little an extra year and just not signed Bol Bol instead? Or something similar. I would’ve taken one more year to see if it works out, or if his contract turns into easier filler?

But can we talk about how amazing his agent is? Also reps Zeke Nnaji! Got a bad to maybe ok player a multi year deal that didn't seem terrible at first just because it was below the MLE.

That’s an agent that more than earned his share of the contract.

Thinking about giving him a call tbh. Sure I'm 34 and never made it past JV high school ball, but...

I actually wanted the Knicks to draft Liddell a couple years ago but then he tore his ACL in summer league before the start of his rookie season and I haven't seen him play since. I felt like he had the potential to be a solid bench player coming out of college.

Yeah, Okogie is there to do that on a 1+1 year contract. Nobody wants to take on Little for 3 years.

He tore his ACL predraft in workouts, I believe. I liked him in the first round that year!

That Little contract had 3 years left on it and over $20M. And now it is being stretched, so maybe 6 years or something, and can never be traded. That is real bad. Suns must have been really desperate to get the savings now.

I'm pretty sure it saves like $20+ Million in Tax every year.

So in 3 years the plan is Booker + cheaper vets (without being able to draft much). Tough to see Booker one-man carrying them to the playoffs.

I’m not saying it was dumb or they shouldn’t have done it, but simply it speaks volumes of the situation that were in and didn’t see other options when you have to fully waive a contract with that much money and years left.

guess 2 DEN 2nds wasn't enough to get off his deal because that's all the Suns have. This does save them some significant money now stretching it out

Who knew that Little was on a 3 year/22 million dollar deal? What a horrible contract. He's a minimum player at best.
