It’s wild.
Denver gets Kawhi/Lyles/Ellis
Kings get Gordon
Clippers get Porter Jr/Devin Carter/McDaniels
Denver goes all in for KL while keeping balance in the roster in the process.
Kings add the PF they need.
Clippers decide it’s time to move on from KL and get younger.

No thanks for Clippers. If Kawhi’s heading out, the books need to be cleared, or at least broken into much smaller pieces.

Anybody willing to trade a guy like Keegan for Kawhi should be fired on the spot no questions asked

Agreed. But Keegan isn't in this trade.

Kings are stealing value here, if Clippers and Nuggets want to trade injury risks they can do so without gifting the Kings a good healthy player.

Trading 2 starters for a guy who's likely to be injured and/or take days off does not seem like a smart move.

I think Ellis challenges for the starting 2 guard spot. I’m a big believer. Lyles keeps the spacing. It’s a roll of the dice. Three seasons for KL to be healthy and hit in the playoffs. It only has to happen once, and they are likely repeat champs.
Sac isn’t stealing value with the first added IMO. Gordon is a FA. It’s a big risk that will come with a big pay day.

If there is a team that could have it make sense, it's the Nuggets. Maybe I'm super high on Ellis, but I think he replaces KCP perfectly and within a year is better than him.
Murray
Ellis
Kawhi
Lyles

If Kawhi stays healthy this team runs away with the chip. Of course that's always a big if with Kawhi.

Trey Lyles is not a starter, and I'm not sure Ellis starts over Braun. Plus, like you said, Leonard's health/desire to play is a big IF.
This trade isn't going to happen.

MPJ isn’t the paragon of heath either.
This trade increases the Nuggets chances to win one more IMO. KL only has to be healthy once out of three chances. Obviously it’s far fetched, but on paper it absolutely could work.

Lyles shouldn't be starting but IMO Braun really shouldn't be at SG. Just have Barun and Kawhi start at forward (with Lyles as extra PF/C depth) and Denver still has 5 solid starters. Kawhi adds more upside (though with more age and perhaps more injury risk than even Porter) while Ellis is a solid and (for a year or two) very budget friendly role player for Denver.
