Miami Heat and ? or ?
A couple of scenarios are open based on 2 rumors.
1) Jimmy Butler likes the Nets because of how they have handled Ben Simmons
2) Warriors are interested in Butler at the right price and are unwilling to give Kuminga a max deal he is seeking.
These max deals are the direct result of players believing the hype surrounding them when it is not warranted (Jalen Green, Trey Murphy, Cam Thomas, I. Okoro, etc..).
Scenario 1:
Heat trade Butler to the Nets
Nets trade Johnson, Bogdanovic, Williams (Ziaire) to the Heat
Nets get Butler to teach the young players how to play with effort.
Heat get 2 expiring contracts and shooter to put on the perimeter. Also allows Heat to move Robinson and not lose shooting.
Scenario 2:
Heat trade Butler to the Warriors
Warriors trade Moody, Looney, Payton, Wiggins to the Heat
Warriors get Butler to run with Curry.
Miami gets a backup center in Looney (1 yr), backup PG and SG in Payton/Moody (each 1 yr), and get a a SF in Wiggins who can guard multiple positions.
Which makes more sense? What needs to be added/subtracted to work?

Re: Miami Heat and ? or ?
Why would MIA agree to either deal? No good young talent, no picks.

Miami is not looking for youth.
They are looking to win.
They have 3 youngish players in Herro, Jovic and Jaquez (under 25) and 2 of those have been in several rumors as being shopped.
if youth was a priority, none of these 3 would be near the block.
Plus the risk of losing Butler for nothing is present.

If MIA is looking to win they are keeping Butler, Not moving him for belly button lint like OP.

Re: Miami Heat and ? or ?
Letting Butler play this season out and walk is better than either offer here. Butler doesn't have a lot of trade value (more than OP) but he still has on the court value making a trade for the win now Heat very unlikely.

I wonder if the Heat and Pelicans eventually swap Butler for Ingram.

Re: Miami Heat and ? or ?
I don't understand the Butler to the Nets logic at all. How they handled Ben Simmons?? BK is also starting a 2 year rebuild which is about as long as Bulter has as an impact player.
Butler to GS makes more sense. Though if the big worry is Kunminga's next contract, then he'd be going to Miami as a big part of the return package (along with Wiggins - needed for salary matching, possibly EC filler for salary matching and probably a 2025 1st).

I would rather include Kuminga in this anyways, think his fit between Draymond and Jimmy would be pretty rough

Re: Miami Heat and ? or ?
I understand that MIA might be the type of team to prioritize "win now" pieces over most other teams dealing away a star. I can't see them doing a total youth and picks type of rebuild. But it's too extreme to take that and think they'd deal Butler for nothing of any long term value. This is fine salary filler type package in each deal. But each trade in OP needs to add at least a couple picks going back to MIA.

Butler is worth a lot more than Ingram.
If you're not competitive this year but hope to be in 2-3 years, Ingram will still be in his prime and Butler will be 37 or 38.

I’d bet on Jimmy over Ingram even then.

Not if he's looking for a max deal at 35 years of age next summer.

Doesn’t Ingram want the same and only play one side of the game?

Pretty sure Butler would be on a 35% max while Ingram's only a 30% max.

Yes, he's also nearly a decade younger. I think if it comes down to rental value for both, and it may, Butler's trade value will be better. It's just that it won't be anywhere near what people are anticipating if he's stuck on a max demand.

So the Dubs have interest in Jimmy apparently.
GSW gets Butler
MIA gets Moody, Looney, Payton, Bruce Brown, and 25 GSW 1st
TOR gets Wiggins
