What's the best backup C one could get for Knecht and filler (Reddish/Hayes)?

Lakers can't take back more salary than they give.

Rockets offer Landale.

Depending on the quality of the backup C he certainly should. Matching salaries is tricky though.

There also aren't that many teams with extra centers lying around. Many teams could be reluctant to create a backup C hole in their own roster even if it's a win on value.

He should. I like Knecht, filler for Bitazde, 2nd(s).

Can Bitazde be traded? Or not until Dec or Jan?

Obviously there are more options mid-season but that means LAL playing half (or so ) of the year as-is.

Goga can't be traded till Jan 2025.

Knecht was one of the guys who I liked a lot in the 2024 draft.

I'd consider trading Jackson from the Pacers for him but the Pacers have a lot of guys in the same size range as Knecht it would help Indiana to not have to resign Jackson after this coming season. Indiana could include a 2nd because they have a few coming up.

Why would we trade Knecht for a backup C?

We have 2 future 1sts, swaps, JHS, and salaries

Can't move a guy who has legit potential to increase your ceiling for a backup C

If we are starting to talk about a guy like Myles Turner, then thats a different discussion I guess, but even then I rather use up the other assets

This team needs to be pushing in their chips

Later in the season, I think.

Knect for Alex Len works. Solid veteran big man who sets amazing screens. High IQ. Sac takes a chance on a white wing

This place has lost its mind when it comes to trades regarding the Lakers/Lebron

In what world is a backup C who played 9 min a night worth the #17 pick (and Knecht was expected to be in the top 10)?

Please tell me what recent trade has happened that would even be close to this

Alex Len would be worth Hayes/Reddish, Maxwell Lewis, and maybe a 2nd

Yup, they were lucky Knecht even fell to them in the FIRST place, I wouldn't then be moving him for a backup 5, of all things.

JHS looks good, why would you trade JHS?

I don't think Knecht is the right piece but he has talent. He has value to other teams. That's why I'd ask. Have to give to get something.

That's good, worth checking on later in season.

He said backup center, not third string. You have to know Len doesn't have this type of value.

I'd think there could be some kind of trade potential between Utah and LA. Those 2 teams have already made recent deals too. With that said the Jazz have apparently put Kessler back into the starting lineup. At least they moved John Collins back to a bench role in the first preseason game.

I seriously doubt we'd have interest. Another bad defender? He's just a horrible, horrible fit.

We have enough 1s and 2s

Dlo and Reaves start

Then Vincent and Christie

Wheres the time for JHS? And in all honesty we should be looking to consolidate Vincent with more salary for a better #3

Yes we have to give something to get something....lets give up picks and swaps

Not a current guy who can play right now and add in game value

Knecht/Reddish for Richards

Hornets get a SF to back up Miller (or Miller plays the 2). Lakers get a backup in Richards who never needs the ball.

I like this one a lot.

Get them a wing defender (DFS), and a big backup C.
