why for ny? get 3 bench players, 2 of which prob dont have tremendous trade value so can likely be had on the cheap
why for Utah? gets McBride and Robinson and comp for essentially Kessler being the only major asset.

Re: Sexy Ass Jazz Knicks Swap
this trade also creates a very not sexy ass luxury tax bill due to the fact you have the Knicks taking on $17M more than they send out.
this is also nowhere remotely close to legal

This feels really lopsided in Utahs favor. Really overvaluing Kessler.

Yeah, Knicks are hard capped at the second apron.
Go back to the drawing board this one. As is it’s not legal

So you think Kessler can move two bad contracts and bring in 2 1st, Robinson, McBide, & Achuiwa?
You do know Kessler is a backup center right? Somebody has been drinking Danny Boy's Kool-aid.
If you think this is sexy, you must think a kick in the nuts is enjoyable.

That is a clever line regarding the nuts.

Not a fan of any of these complications of the Dadiet + WSH FRP + Sims for Kessler idea :-/
Don’t want to give up McBride, Achiuwa, or Robinson, and don’t want to eat Clarkson or Collins.

No need to kink shame. I, for one, think the world needs more masochists

It is your belief that he is a backup, but he has started almost half the games he has played in to this point, appears to be the clear starter for Utah this year, and is by far the most impactful center on our roster and the second or third most impactful player on the team behind Lauri and Sexton.
That aside, Clarkson and Collins clearly are negative value players, so getting the assets for Kessler, plus getting more assets on top is just way too much. It also ignores what we might want in player return - more centers is bad, more power forwards is bad, more guards is bad. The centerpiece of the trade is preferably a wing and/or picks, and we especially don't need more small guards, so New York should keep McBride in this (esp. since they have a use for him and he is much better than Clarkson). I can see why New York could be interested in a player *like* Collins, but Collins specifically seems like a really hard sell with his contract. If they did trade for him, they should not be adding any picks, but the mechanics of adding him while following CBA rules seems pretty much impossible.

Strike to the OP for repeatedly posting trades that are not legal/no reasons provided etc. OP, please review the sticky as previously reminded multiple times for the requirements for starting threads. If you continue to insist on disregarding that you may lose your ability to start threads on this forum. Those few requirements exist for a reason.
