Chi sends Vuc and the Port pick to SA
SA sends Collins/some small salary if necessary to match and Chi's pick back
Vuc could REALLY help the Spurs win games. He looks awesome on offense this year, and can play some with Wemby. They add the Port pick, which might convert in a year or two
Bulls take a step back and get their pick back. They are on track at the moment to be a below average-play in team. That's the worse case scenario for them. Giddy is not working out, but Lavine looks very good-hopefully we can deal him for something before the deadline (still think LAL should take the plunge).
Bulls build around Ayo, CWhite, Matas, PWill, Phillips, Jalen Smith, DTerry and picks-and PRAY for lotto luck

The Spurs wouldn't take Vuc for Collins for free. Why would they downgrade picks to do so? As Wemby plays more, his backup will play less. Collins plays too little to justify his contract, and Vuc would struggle to play with Wemby for similar reasons to Zach.
I don't think Chicago can get their pick back unless it's a deal involving White.

Nah, that's a huge downgrade in pick quality for a marginal improve in short term play, which may actually be counterproductive given the Spurs timeline. At his current salary Zach Collins is a negative contract, but he'll be an expiring next season (as will be Barnes, Wesley and Branham) so he probably ends up used as salary filler in a trade for a better player. Only Bulls player I could see Spurs having an interest in is Coby White, and maybe not for long if Castle's shot keeps improving.

YEah I agree with the others. I don't see Vuc doing enough for the Spurs for them to be willing to give the Bulls their pick back. It's good to see Vuc off to a good start, and maybe the Bulls can move off his final year at the deadline, but I'd be surprised at that kind of return.

What are the exact protections around those picks.

Yeah after double checking protections on the picks, I don’t like it for the spurs.

No way the Spurs trade the pick back to CHI while at the same time the Bulls become a much worse team, without their #2 scorer, likely to fall into the top 10. They're rather see the Bulls be at 11-15 with Vucevic maybe good enough to get to the play in but not bad enough to lose into the top 10.

Cold truth.
For whatever it's worth, I think the Bulls pick is more likely to convey in 26 or 27 (top 8 protected) than 25 (top 10 protected). But the East is SOOOO bad Bulls may still get outside the bottom 10
