DDV back to Milwaukee?

Looking at that rough DDV start in Minnesota makes me think if something like this has legs. (It works at the trade machine)
Milwaukee in DiVincezo
Milwaukee out Connaughton, Johnson, Beauchamp, Livingston
Minnesota in Connaughton, Johnson (TPE)
Minnesota out DiVincezo
3rd team(s) in Beauchamp, Livingston
3rd team(s) out nada
Why Bucks? They finally fill their starting SG spot with a familiar face and proven 3 and D player locked in a 10ish contract. Milwaukee sacrifises here their recently signed FRP (Johsnon) to upgrade from Pat to Donte. Beauchamp and Livingston are also included here for Milwaukee to duck the 2nd apron for a moment and make this trade legal.
Dame/Wright/Rollins
DDV/Trent/Green
Midds/Jackson
Giannis/Prince/Smith
Lopez/Bobby
Why Minny? Donte looks stuck behind Ant, so they decide to cash in with a look into another promising PG. They will have to waive Dozier and now they will have Rob and AJJ to develop in the next couple of seasons until Conley finishes his contract. I guess this fixes some of their bench issues since a NAW/Pat combo makes more sense in terms of chemistry.
Conley/Dillingham/Johnson
Edwards/NAW/Shannon
McDaniels/Connaughton/Ingles
Randle/Minott/Miller
Gobert/Reid/Garza
Why 3rd team(s)? I can see multiple teams like Washington, Brooklyn, Toronto, Utah etc willing to take a free look into Beauchamp and Livingston who are stuck in Milwaukee's rotation.

2nd apron issues kill this deal for the Bucks.
Doubt Minny has any interest either.

PatC is a negative value player, and I don't think there is hope he ever becomes positive, he's almost 32, DDV is simply in a shooting slump, amny would give assets for him even during this slump, this isn't close at all IMO.

Milwaukee in DiVincezo
Milwaukee out Connaughton, Johnson, Beauchamp, Livingston
Milwaukee would incur a hard cap at the second apron by aggregating salary like this, and I think they’d end his deal over the second apron, before accounting for needing to sign 2 more players to meet minimum roster requirements
Minnesota in Connaughton, Johnson (TPE)
Minnesota out DiVincezo
Minnesota can’t use TPE’s as a second apron team. Plus, in receiving more salary than they send out, they would incur a hard cap at the 1st apron, and Minnesota is already $28m over that line, so they’d have to clear another nearly $30m off the books in this trade.

DDV had the third most made 3s in the entire NBA last season. I don't see the Wolves gifting him away like this less than 20 games into the season.

Aside from the trade being illegal the value is tremendously off

I think getting three years of DiVincenzo cheap was the main piece for MIN in the Towns deal, but with Ant and NAW SG’s as well, I’d be interested in hearing other deals that brought back a comparably valued player at center or maybe PG.

I think the Wolves would regret trading him, but Orlando seems like your best bet here if a center is the goal.

Oh, it's just an idiom that references the Lincoln assassination. It's a tongue-in-cheek way of basically saying, if you ignore the obvious flaws, what do you think of something
I'm agreeing with your point

Unfortunately, there’s no centers that are available THIS season for Orlando.
Carter can not be traded and Goga is a vital component to their success when Carter is injured (which he will be 1/3 of the season).
I would love to try to make something work around Cole Anthony + pick incentives. Not apples to apples players but both in a slump, both have a manageable salary (Minny shaves a yr. off). Cole can play PG and Minny can recoup some picks for future dealings.
Cole Anthony
‘25 FRP (via Denver) - projected to be 20-25 in a deep draft.
‘26 SRP (via Orlando)
