MAVS
In:Boucher/Temple
Out:Maxi/O-Max/SRP
RAPTORS
In:Maxi/O-Max/SRP
Out: Boucher/Temple
Raptors get a prospect in his second year, the style they like (Big wing, defensive oriented) and a small asset...
Mavs get a useful 4/5 combo, which they need as depth and eliminate Maxi's last year...
thought?

Not a fan, I'd rather stay with Maxi or use him on other target, like DFS

yeah Maxi is hurt a lot and no longer believes in his shot at all. But look at how good Dallas still is when he is on the court. He defends well and does so many smart things. Not giving up assets to downgrade to Boucher just to shed his salary for next year. Seems super counterproductive. If they need to dump his salary to duck aprons, due it in the summer.

dont think boucher is necessarily a downgrade but i agree kleber should be used to acquire someone who would upgrade their playoff rotation and i dont think boucher is reliable enough for that
From toronto's end i would pass as well since we have a project 3/4 in Mogbo already and have no minutes for OMax.

Considering that we can't find a player to crack our 8-man rotation come TDL, this offer intrigues me since Boucher wouldn't crack our 8-man rotation for the playoffs, but he's a nice depth piece for the regular season and is a better player than Maxi.
Kleber is toast. Nowhere near the player he once was (which still wasn't great) and still has another year on his contract. Can't rebound, can't dribble, can't set screens, can't box-out, can't play half of the games and now he can't shoot. Looks old and plays old. Boucher is a better player and would expire to help with apron stuff (Kyrie re-sign money).

I agree with your read on Boucher. He will show up with energy, and he'll (probably?!?) help you win more than he helps the other team win, but he isn't a core playoff piece, just RS minutes filler. If I'm Dallas, I'd hold off to see if I could add a piece that will play in the playoffs.
For Toronto, this is decent value, particularly if it is the 2025 Philly SRP, and would be a sneaky aide to the tank because Boucher adds more than either current-day Kleber or OMax. However, TOR has some opportunity cost too: they should be looking to leverage their
financial wiggle room -- about $9.3M under the 2024-25 tax, and able to take on some additional money ($15-20M??) next season -- to get a more significant asset than Omax and a SRP.

I think this is might be a bad deal for the Raps, and would rather let Boucher expire than take on dead money next year for Maxi.
The only reason this makes sense is at the deadline if the SRP looks like it will be in the 30s, and if the Raps have any hope of turning OMax into a positive asset.

Yeah its just not a deal that makes sense for either side. Maxi again tonight with a massive plus and came up huge when Lively couldn't go in the 2nd half. No reason to move him for a guy fighting Dwight Powell for big man we don't want to play minutes just to get off his money next year.
And for the Raps, Maxi isn't a needle mover so he does next to nothing for Toronto, Prosper can't be called a serious prospect having shown nothing, and so a 2nd round pick to use two roster spots and tie up what $15M next year? Nah Toronto should be doing that.
