MIA/LAL/NO

Post#1 » by spankz141 » Wed Nov 27, 2024 3:25 pm

Lakers in : Jimmy Butler

NO In: D'Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, 1st Rounder from LAL, 2 2nds from MIA

MIA: Brandon Ingram

Lakers bring in Butler to help AD and Lebron.

New Orleans gets an expiring, a role player and a few picks for an expiring.

Miami retools with a younger potential star in Ingram who they can extend.

I'm not a big Ingram guy so this is a no for me. I'd rather ride it out with Jimmy.

EDIT: And Miami is not adding seconds to make this deal happen, either. I just don't see Ingram as worth more than Jimmy and I don't see Ingram being a fit in Miami...

yeah I just have Butler as better than BI and considering contracts the age isn't a reason to do it. He's an UFA. And yes the Heat would have a significant advantage to retain him. But getting to give him a huge long-term deal isn't really all that enticing to me.

I'd rather cut out the Pels if Jimmy was wanting out and just flip one of Reaves or Herro for something else.

I agree, entirely. I would look to flip Reaves for as much additional value as we could get. That would build up the warchest a bit
