Nets/Kings

Post#1 » by louc1970 » Mon Dec 2, 2024 6:07 pm

What/Who adds what to make this trade happen?

Kings send Huerter/Lyles/?
Nets send Cam Johnson/?

Nets save money by taking on the lesser salary of Huerter (2 years at $17/$18) and removing the extra year of Johnson (3 years avg $21). Lyles is cut/bought out to go find a better home.

Do the Kings owe a pick/player (Carter) or do the Nets owe?

Kings owe substantially here, Cam Johnson is a clear + player that Huerter/Lyles are not. Did you mean Cam Thomas?

I mean, we’d move Huerter/Lyles for anything that walks and doesn’t have a contract past next year, so I guess it depends on the draft comp we would owe, but I’m weary of trading for players when they are at peak value (hasn’t Cam started off blazing or is that the other Cam?)

I do not think the Nets would make this deal. They might keep CamJo and move the other vets. This would take 2 1sts for them to consider moving one of the NBA's MIPs.
