Cleveland: Struss, Tyson, Niang, Travers, and Thompson
Atlanta: Hunter and Nance
Cavs add wing depth
Atlanta adds a couple younger guys one of which was 1st team summer league this year as a rookie, and a couple floor spacers that can play next to Trey without the ball.

I prefer Strus to Hunter straight-up and would not trade all the Cavs' NBA-caliber development pieces for Nance.

I would recommend you leave two way players out of trades. They provide no salary matching (they count as $0 in salary trades), and it makes it difficult that the other team has to waive a two way player before completing the trade, and teams generally like their two way players better than other teams two way players.
I don’t think we’ve seen many, if any two way player trades at all, let alone a two way player traded into a team without the other team sending a two way player back. Teams would just waive the two way player and allow them to sign a new two way contract elsewhere if that was so desired.

do you have to wait to trade after converting a 2 way player to a standard contract?

You can’t convert a player until he’s under contract with your team, so you’d have to waive a two way to take in Travers to fill that 2 way, and then you could immediately convert him, but would still have to waive a guy to take him in. Just like how you can’t waive a player you trade for until he’s on your roster, so you’d have to clear the roster spot before the trade.

i meant can cleveland in this case convert travers to a standard contract (lets say to use as salary matching or something) and then trade him right away or do they have to wait

Hunter right now at 19 ppg+ on 65 TS% as the 6th man shooting over 43% from 3 on good volume. He’s certainly not available. Much better off the bench playing 28 mpg if he can stay healthy.

Ah, my bad.
No, a player can’t be traded for 3 months after being converted to a standard contract.

The Cavs don't do this due to the roster construction/financial issues that would arise next summer as has been pointed out repeatedly.
