Simplest possible Zion trade (to BK)

Zion for Simmons + least valuable 2025 1st from Nets.

Zion wants to play in NYC. The Knicks aren't in a position to trade for him, but the Nets are. While they currently are looking to be big cap space players they could decide that Zion is a better option than anything that cap space could get them. They also hope that being in NYC motivates Zion to stay fit.

NO decides that rather than have Zion mostly missing time they're better off clearing his salary and moving on.

I don't think the Pels are ready to just give him up for nothing yet. I think the Nets are a really good potential team, but I think the incentive has to have some kind of upside. I have real doubts we will ever see realized Zion, but just last year he played 70 games and he remains a near unstoppable scorer.

I think if the Nets had interest they should offer a future pick that is like top 4,1, unprotected. Where they probably give up a mid to late lotto pick at best, but that there is a chance for the Pels to get a premium pick out of it.

His contract having all those outs means I'm in no hurry to just give him away like this.

I like this idea. Just improve the pick. Make it this year's and I think it's fine. Protected top 10
