Vuc to Lakers?

Bulls Trade: Vuc and Torrey Craig
Lakers Trade: Dalton Knecht and DLo
Knecht might be a non-starter for the Lakers, but they are on the cusp of falling out of play-in territory. Vuc is having an outstanding year and Craig is a role player any contender could use. Bulls get a young piece and a little more flexibility.

Lakers need playmaking coming back of DLo goes out.
They'd also value Knecht higher than this because he's currently their 6th highest minutes guy as a rookie. They expect him to get rotation for next 3 years on a salary that's less than 2% of cap. Enables them to spend more on other rotation players.
I do think Vuc would be interesting as a player though.
What about:
Bulls get Rui+Vincent+2xSRPs
Lakers get Vucevic+Carter

Earlier in the season I would have been all for that, but I think there's a good chance he's played himself into late 1st round pick territory. Would something like this be of interest?:
Bulls Trade: LaVine and Jevon Carter
Lakers Trade: Knecht, Rui, DLo, and Vincent

I don't think Knecht's available for teams' discards, but it doesn't hurt to ask...

Knecht isn't a late 1st round pick territory though?

Right, but the Lakers don't have a late first-round pick to offer and are looking to compete while they can. I totally get that Knecht might be too steep of a price for them though.

I like the idea, would Bulls have any interest in moving Jalen Smith? He's probably the ideal piece on the Bulls for the Lakers, well him and Lonzo.

I don't think he's untouchable by any means, but he's young and on a great contract so I think they'd prefer to hang on to him.

I was thinking something like Knecht+Vincent+DLo for Smith+Lonzo+THT

That is horrible for LAL.

I'm sure they'd be pretty open to that unless they feel like Lonzo has put his injury issues behind him for good.

It really isn't. They're trading two rotation players for three. Lozno is starting to look good and like his old self and Smith and THT are putting up outrageous per 36 stats off the bench. They're both basically instant production.
For the Bulls Knecht is the only player of interest. We wouldn't want or have room for DLo (We've got Giddey, Ayo, and Coby), so we'd have to figure out what to do with him and Vincent obviously is just going to warm the bench for two years.

What is the obsession some people have with helping the Lakers and just dumping unwanted players on their trading partner because those teams don't rate with Jeanie Buss?
Yeah the Bulls want to move Vuc why does it help the team with a glut of guards to trade a center and a forward for TWO guards? Just explain it slowly so even I can understand it. While you're at it sure it works great for the Lakers but why would the Bulls give up a young, inexpensive center they just signed, an expiring Lonzo Ball and a cheap veteran in THT and get back a smaller expiring contract, Gabe Vincent still signed for another year at twice the price of Jevon Carter and a kid that needs minutes? Trading Lavine and Carter and getting Rui makes some sense but to get 3 more guards means they have one more guard and 16 players under contract.
Let somebody else help Lebron and AD.

Lonzo, Reaves, LeBron, Davis, Smith
THT, Christie, Rui, Vando, WoodI don't mind it honestly. Lakers upgrade defense and size and don't really lose much scoring. Smith could easily play with Davis or play as backup C

Yes it is. Knecht is easily the best player in the trade. Also, if, Smith and THT were worth their per 36 stats (a virtually worthless stat IMHO) the Bulls would play them 36 minutes.

Because the Bulls are going nowhere this season and they get a promising rookie for a player they're looking to move. Ownership would fire the Bulls GM on the spot if he declined a Vuc for Knecht trade.
The Lakers would never make such a trade, though. The Bulls don't have any players worth trading Knecht for.

This is a complete non-starter for LA. Vuc is worth a couple of SRPs and expiring. Maybe a highly protected FRP from a clear playoff team at best.
