Oklahoma City Trades
Isaiah Joe G
Osumane Dieng F
Dillon Jones F
2nd highest 2025 FRP (Top-10 Protected- if falls within Top-10 they receive the 3rd highest 2025 FRP and 3 future SRP)

Sacramento Kings Trade
Malik Monk G
Trey Lyles FC

WHY FOR OKC
They are humming but it seems they could use a guy off the bench with a bit of self creation ability. Monk is more dynamic than Joe with the ball in his hands, better creating for himself when points are needed, better as a facilitator and still able to play off ball as shown with his synergy w/ Fox. His age at 26 is the tail end of a age range that fits the OKC core IMO and thats a plus. Lyles is a stopgap expiring big that helps with Chet being out and can compete for some backup regular season minutes.

G - Shai Gilgeous-Alexander / Malik Monk / Ajay Mitchell
G - Cason Wallace / Malik Monk / Alex Caruso
F - Lou Dort / Alex Caruso / Aaron Wiggins
F - Jalen Williams / Aaron Wiggins / Kenrich Williams / Trey Lyles
C - Isaiah Hartenstein / Kenrich Williams / Trey Lyles / Jaylin Williams

WHY FOR SAC
This is a deal to me that may make sense if they blow it up or if they dont. Joe can slide in as a bench shooter and do some of what Malik did. They kick the tires on Dieng and Dillon and get a pick they can use to go young if they blow it up or add to bigger salaries along with their own pick(s) to make a dramatic win-now move.

G - De'Aaron Fox / Jordan McLaughlin / Keon Ellis
G - Isaiah Joe / Keon Ellis / Kevin Huerter
F - DeMar DeRozan / Kevin Huerter / Colby Jones
F - Keegan Murray / Osumane Dieng / Dillon Jones
C - Domatas Sabonis / Alex Len / Isaac Jones

Lots of poster around here hate Monte McNair and want him to get fired.

DOnt think OKC should make any moves that dont really push the needle. They have plenty of undersized guards already, and all of them are paid at or below market value. Monk is a bit expensive for what he truly brings to the table.

Not that keen on monk if it means I’m trading away Joe .

I've definitely not seen that posted around here. And its certainly not pertinent to the thread unless you are trying to make the accusation this trade would get him fired which feels hyperbolic.

Why? Joe is nice but Monk brings what Joe does + self creation, more PG abilities and he can get to the FT line.

Joe is 25 - Monk is 26.

Catch & Shoot - Joe 40% - Monk 37%

IDK, I may be wrong but I just think OKC could use a bench player that can create. They have tons of specialist but no real bench option who is multi-faceted offensively. I feel Monk could bring another dimension to them as a 6th man - while also being proven worthy as a off ball guy.

Of course no one has straight up written that. It’s the natural result of many of this trade scenarios, it doesn’t need to be spelled out verbatim.

Also, I did mean the firing part literally for this thread. If you take the reasoning in the OP and applied it in real life Monte McNair would be fired within 24-48 hours after the final game of the season (if not sooner, I’d vote for sooner BTW).

I meant that as I want monk in addition to Joe. Could be greedy but the team need more points from our rotation players.

If possible I want my upgrade to be of the following
- backup ballhandler
- added size up front
- 3 point shooter.

Obviously the more they fill up the better. Given OKC rotation is already quite packed, ideally I want to shop for a better option (if available).

I’m not sure who I will remove from the rotation yet for the said upgrade.
