LAL/LAC/BKN

LAL receive: Cam Johnson, Day'Ron Sharpe
LAL trade: D'Angelo Russell, Gabe Vincent, Jaxson Hayes, 2029 LAL 1st (unprotected), 2028 swap, 2025 LAC 2nd, 2027 LAL 2nd

BKN receive: D'Angelo Russell, PJ Tucker, Jaxson Hayes, 2029 LAL 1st, 2028 right to swap with LAL
BKN trade: Cam Johnson, Day'Ron Sharpe

LAC receive: Gabe Vincent, 2025 LAC 2nd, 2027 LAL 2nd
LAC trade: PJ Tucker

Why for LAL: get a 3rd/4th scoring option that fits better in the starting lineup than Rui, plus a better backup big, giving up a good chunk of draft capital to do so

Why for BKN: get draft capital for Cam and Day'Ron, plus no long-term money

Why for LAC: get a likely rotation player (albeit with an extra year on the contract), plus a couple of seconds for dead money

(deal takes into account Johnson's trade bonus)

I don't think the SRPs come from Lakers, likely from Nets.

But otherwise yeah I could see this.

Harden, Norm, Mann, Dunn.

Not seeing how Vincent is a rotation player, but would be a deadline deal just to add salary ballast for the summer and a few seconds.

Nets say no.

Cam J is worth two firsts by himself and Sharpe is not a throw in.

This deal also has the Nets increasing their cap this year and paying luxury tax for expiring players that they do not need.

There is no reason for them to even consider this deal.

Agree, he would just be keeping the tradable salary alive for another year plus picking up a couple small assets. It's not terrible if the Clippers can't find a better use for Tucker and don't care about ducking the tax(or have another way in mind already).

You can keep saying that but that doesn't make it true.

Karmaloop, if both Sharpe and CamJo are combined worth 1 1st and doody players what is Anthony Davis worth to you?

Are we really comparing a quasi prospect that's about to enter restricted free agency and a role player, albeit an elite role player to Anthony Davis?

I mean, I guess if Cam is worth two good picks and a good prospect (as said in other threads), is Norman Powell worth three firsts and the same level prospect?

Even though, the OP has a first, a swap while also further clearing salary space, which is more valuable than ever under the new CBA.

Cam J is locked up for three years.

Cool, a whole year more than Norm, and one less than AD.

That definitely means he's worth two good picks and a good young player

You think that dumping Vincent and getting Johnson and Sharpe is worth a combined frp? I think the Lakers are getting a steal if a deal Herr with only moving 1 frp and 2 2nds.

OP trade has an FRP and a swap. FRP is in 29 and the FRP swap is in 28. It can be a bit hard to see it because of layout I think.

Can LAL trade the 2028 and 2030 1st round picks without any protections or hinderances?
