Lakers/Hornets

CHO receive: Jalen Hood-Schifino, Jaxson Hayes, 2025 LAL 2nd, 2025 LAC 2nd

LAL receive: Nick Richards

Why for Lakers: get a better backup C

Why for Hornets: get picks and expirings for a player they don’t particularly need

I think this is a good deal for both sides. Should get done.

CLT does already have 3 seconds this draft, but I’m guessing a tax team would gladly trade a future better projected 2nd for two seconds this year..

This is one of those situations where I would rather trade him for 1 good 2nd then two really poor 2nds. The hit rate for picks after 50th is truly terrible.

I think we can find a better deal than this.
