To Los Angeles (Trade Vincent, Vanderbilt, Reddish, protected 1st)
-Malcolm Brogdon (1 year, $22.5 million)

To New Orleans (Trade Ingram, Matkovic)
-Marvin Bagley (1 year, $12.5 million)

-Washington gets a young wing whom can start that they get his Bird Rights to re-sign this off-season. Along with a high 2025 1st, Washington looks to make a step in '25-26

Lakers have that In Reaves <> 'not quite counted as a PG yet', but the way his balling he'll be fine and with Max emerging as a 3nd guy (at the 2) Lakers are fine In the backcourt.

If I'm the Lakers, I'm not trading a 1st unless It's for someone Young like Kessler (example) OR an allstar In like Fox,Young,Luka (example) etc.

Not for someone who's 32, maybe just me.

edit: also I don't think any team out there want Vando and his contract esp with his Injuries and still not sure If Lakers want to part ways just yet with Vando.

I think the Wizards are tanking again next year. This feels at least one year too early for them. Seems like they're being patient, drafting young guys who will take time to develop and not being stupid or impatient anymore.

Wiz would cut out the Ingram part and take the first if it's being offered up for Brogdon. It's a lot of money to take on for a protected first for Washington, but they probably do it.

The problem with Ingram is that his camp is insisting he's a max money player to extend/resign and he isn't worth that. Add that to Washington being a place where few free agents want to play and he's probably not going to resign at a reasonable contract. Makes him basically just an expiring for the Wizards.

If I'm the Pelicans, I just release Ingram before I take back that much bad money for a heavily protected 1st that conveys that far out, if at all. They'll get better offers though.

The gamble here for Washington, or any team that takes on Ingram, is that once you sign him to a new contract he could be worth more than he is as a rental.

Only Brooklyn is going to be sitting with enough cap space to offer a max deal this summer.

At the end of the day, New Orleans and Washington are in similar spots. I assume Washington is just going to build organically moving forward around Coulibaly/Sarr/Carrington/2025 1st and move out Valinciunas and Kuzma before the start of next season. If they move out or if the plan is to move out both those assets for picks/expirings than it gives them greater cap flexibility if they want to extend Ingram.

Well hypotheitcally, if they extend Ingram and get a high 2025 1st, I dont think the expectation would be Wizards win at least 35-40 games in '25-26 but adding Ingram now and extending him puts them in a better position come '26-27 to be a .500 team. But youre right, all depends what Wizards 3 year plan is. Take a shot on adding Ingram now, and extending him with plan to trade Valinciunas and Kuzma for expirings/picks before start of next season.

Unfortunately, the Knicks have the Wizards’ 1sts tied up unless they suck for the foreseeable future, and WAS is still trying to make up for the lack of 1st rounders from Beal. It would be interesting if WAS considered a package for Ingram. Not a huge fan of tanking for 5 years and hope to draft a star, bc it’s never guaranteed, and fans have to endure half a decade of irrelevance/“development”. I’d rather get a proven guy, and slowly add smart pieces.

If there was a side trade WAS could make to unprotect their pick to NYK, I think they should go for Ingram. After more year, they could actually be decent in the East moving forward.

I think the fear of handing a first to the Knicks will help you in the long-run. Add 2 high lotto picks to Sarr, Coulibaly, Carrington and Kispert and that gives you 6 rotation guys, probably another bench guy or 2 from George and other young guys, and Poole and Kuzma will be expirings, maybe you keep Poole, lots of financial flexibility, some extra picks you can move.

Ingram is a path back to 30-45 win mediocrity, and you'll probably be able to get him in 2 years for Kuzma's expiring, a 10-15M player you can live without from free agency or a trade, and a first rounder anyways. He's that type of dude.
