Beal to Orlando?

Phoenix Trades: Bradley Beal
Phoenix Receives: Jonathan Isaac, KCP

Orlando Trades: Jonathan Isaac, KCP
Orlando Receives: Bradley Beal

Why for Phoenix?
Beal hasn’t fit in with KD and Booker. Phoenix substitutes offense for defense and tries to retool with 2 more tradable contracts if things don’t work out.

Why for Orlando
Even healthy, Orlando lacks shooting and could really use another scoring option. This is a defense for offense swap. Some might value Isaac a bit more here but he more injury prone than Beal.

Risky trade for both teams, but it might just work…

While I do think that Beal would look better away from Phoenix - he's a terrible fit with Booker - and provide some on-court help for Orlando his contract is a huge problem. The contract downside for Orlando is too high without incentive that Phoenix can't provide.

I would pass on this for the Magic. Beal's contract is just too much

PHX owes compensation which they do not have.

Just to clarify, Beal has 2 years left on his deal inclusive of his player option. KCP has the same terms (2 yrs with PO) but Isaac just signed his extension through 28/29

Feels like two desperate moves by teams in two very different situations. Orlando is better off staying on course.

Orlando don't need no no-defense ball hog to muck up their flow

As much as I can’t stand Beal, (both him & KCP are extremely overrated) Orlando would be the best solution for him. Somewhat of a contender, need a scoring guard badly, went to college near, no income tax. They had too many draft picks & overpays role players as a small market so have the contracts to match.

They’ve been paying Issac’s doctor bills and waiting for him to be healthy forever. Not sure if Beal makes them want to finally trade him or keep holding out hope.
KCP has the same 2 years left as Beal and Issac contract decreases by $10 million. Depends on if they prefer the Phoenix 1st or $16 million & $20 million difference between the three.

Beal is 100% untradeable as the worst contract in the league. No other team has enough bad salary to send Jack and PHX lacks picks to attach.

This, plus a no trade clause. I don’t know that Beal wants to move again.

Makes sense for both teams.

Yes, but both Isaac and KCP do qualify as bad contracts as well.

Isaac and KCP contracts are nowhere near as toxic as Beal. I bet most teams would rather have KCP than Beal even if the contract was the same.

That's a nice mix of hate and exaggeration.

I wouldn't do this if I was the Magic

Magic should pass. I'd rather have the defensive versatility and depth of Issac and KCP vs Beal

Beal's next 2 years are at $52 and $57+mil/yr. Isaac is at $15mil or less each year. big difference in money

Beal is pretty hard to deal with his injury issues. Now Booker might get you a nice return and Beal, if healthy, can fill Booker's role.
