Nuggets Get:
Andrew Wiggins
Buddy Hield

They get solid rotation pieces that fits their roster

Jokic/Gordon/Wiggins/Hield/Murray
DJ/Watson/Braun/Strawther/Westbrook

Warriors Get:
Michael Porter Jr.

Dubs get a young borderline All Star who can shine in this system

Green/MPJ/Kuminga/Schroder/Curry
TJD/Anderson/Moody/GP3/Podziemski

My gut said "no way!" but I wanted to check the numbers. It doesn't work on the ESPN trade machine. It works on the RealGM trade checker but the results are pretty disastrous for Denver in terms of production.

So I'll stick with "no way!"

Numbers aside, Denver would be crazy to send Porter to Golden State of all places. If they were to send him anywhere (which very probably won't happen), send him east.

Wiggins is a straight up better player than MPJ. Easy pass.

Doesn't work for the Warriors. Taking back $800k more than they send out puts them over their hard cap, plus they have to add a player to get to 14.

Porter is having his best season and Wiggins and Buddy are Wiggins and Buddy. No thanks

Both guys are having nice years so I am confused why either team would be motivated to do this?

The "Why" here needs to be hashed out more.

That's a take I never would have expected.

I'd love to hear what other people would say about that.

Defense is a thing, despite how much as MPJ pretends it isn't.

16 PPG with defense vs 19 PPG on higher efficiency meh defense but better rebounding. Per 100 possessions gives Wiggins the PPG advantage.

Think more playoffs teams would desire Wiggins defense than MPJ offense . Could make a case that MPJ has the higher ceiling if he a clear second option on a team.

Porter's defense was bad a few years ago but it's gotten a lot better. And it's not like Wiggins is some defensive menace.

If you want to talk about contracts, that's one thing, but to say Wiggins is a straight up better player is crazy.

And yet somehow Wiggins is ahead of MPJ in most advanced metrics (BPM, VORP, WS/48, tied in PER despite PER not factoring in defense).

Net rating is an absolutely useless stat to compare players across teams.

Caris LeVert leads the league in net rating. Do you think that's because (1) he's the best player in the league, or (2) he plays for a very good team

I wasn't comparing players across teams. I'm comparing players in the same team. Read again. MPJ has 4th best netrtg of Nuggets players. Wiggins is 8th among GSW players. Sometimes netrtg can be too good or too bad for certain players (depending on rotations) but if your team is winning minutes with Podziemski, Payton II, Kuminga, Looney even Hield but losing minutes when Wiggins is on court does that says something?
BTW MPJ is better in EPM and Lebron.

He's the best player in the league, obviously. The Cavs will listen to offers though.

This isn't the worst MPJ trade I've seen, but he's Denver's really only valuable trade chip, so I'd rather them aim higher or just keep him. Denver needs his offense bad right now. Other than Jokic, he's really their only dependable shooter at the moment.

I'd rank MPJ a bit higher than Wiggins, so I wouldn't make that move 1 for 1. Not interested in Buddy Hield at all. I'd hate to see him take minutes away from Strawther.

Interesting concept, but I cant see GS taking on MPJ's deal given what he does and does not bring to the table

This is the best response.

How many firsts would we need to add to Curry to get LeVert
