For godaddycurse and tacos Blazers/Clippers

Post#1 » by Texas Chuck » Sat Jan 11, 2025 12:57 am

I'm told Robert Williams goes for expirings/2nds. And that Portland would prefer this to more 2nds attached to a small salary next year. So I think I found the team:

Tucker/Bones/30 Worse of UTH/LAC 2nd/31 LAC 2nd

for

Williams

Portland gets 2 2nds(eventually) and sheds the salary for next year.
Clippers give their last 2 2nds for a backup center upgrade. Also duck tax so the deal pays for itself right there.

Can the Blazers take on the extra salary and still avoid the tax? If so, sure.

Sure why not if blazers can’t find better.

Reduce future salary, seconds and no tax . Whats not to like ?

Clips need to move at least one guard to ensure more minutes for those in need. For RWIII, whilst I am not sure of the fit as he is worse than Zubac and not the three point threat that Bamba is, this deal is just too logical to pass up.

Tucker and Bones need new teams, and for only 2 seconds, the Clips get a nice player. Maybe it would allow the team to trade Zubac and that could open up other consolidation options since he has some pretty decent value right now. Clips say yes.
