Zion to Hawks

To ATL: Z. Williamson
To NOP: Z. Rissacher, O. Okongwu, K.Bufkin, 2FRP

Why for NOP: Get rid of a problem child for a recent 1st overall pick, a solid young PF/C that has upside and can play Zion's position immediately, a young point guard that can replace Alvardo next season and two first round picks.

Why for ATL: Take a risk of sacrificing some talented youth for a potential 3rd franchise player (joining Young and Johnson) pinning hope that a new team and environment can get him on the right path for consistency and stardom. Team depth takes a hit, but they have Nance to play more minutes to replace OO and still have Hunter to provide a spark off the bench.

Zion doesn't have half this value, I highly doubt he has 1/3 of it...

Salaun + 2 excellent 1sts fir Hunter and LNJ? Brutal, absolutely brutal for the Hornets...

At this point, I think that's a huge overpayment, and I also think that the fit between those 3 could be flawed or at least...not ideal...none of them stand out as shooters, 2 of them are defensive sieves and 2 of them They play the same position...that same offer for Sabonis (changed to OO for Capela)?

The fit of Zion and Jalen seems like it would be problematic. Both are best at PF.

This offer is a fair, strong offer that Pels would actually have to consider to trade Z by the deadline (compared to the many other low-ball offer ideas).

I would accept as a Pels fan, but I see the fit hesitation for the Hawks. That basically leaves Trae as the one 3pt spacer in the starting lineup, with Hunter and Bogdanavic as the only other 3pt threats off the bench. Trae/Dyson/Jalen/Zion/Capela would be a bit clunky in theory. But maybe they take the talent gamble of pairing Trae and Jalen with Zion and work out the surrounding pieces in time.

But man, that would be a bad look to get back the two 1sts that Pels just gave up for Dejounte as the main value back for a Zion trade.

No way any team pays this for ZW to munch corndogs on their bench.

Exactly. Zion has that Ben Simmons trade value. That might be a good deal, now that I think about it. Zion for gentle Ben.

I could see a team talking itself into giving good value for Zion, but this is far beyond that.

I think ATL is set with Johnson at the 4 long term. NO WAY they would give up anything like this for Zion.

I think Char should bid for him-huge gamble but give it a try
